Infected the little lady with the bug..
My Fiance was raised in a no guns allowed house, her mom cant stand them for some personal reason. So when I took her to the range the first time she was really nervous, was scared to even touch my 1911. I gave her the standard, If you dont like it after one shot just put it down, no big deal. I help her in her stance and grip and she lets on go. Then another, and another. She turns back, smiling and says "This is *edited* great!" Little did I know I had just created a monster. This woman at the range is Atilla the Hun, I can barely wrestle my M-66 away to get some trigger time with it and my Desert Eagel? Dont even ask, if that thing could cook better than me she would dump me for it. But my proudest moment, she borrowed my friends Ruger P-95 in 9mm and put a whole mag through it, put it down and laughed and looked at him and said, "What is this a popgun? Honey give me a real gun, the Deagle." I turned my timid hippy fiance into Dirty Harriet.

Whew!
Your title had me worried! I was going to suggest a medicinal remedy.
That's a great job and you've created a monster to supply with ammo!!! Excellent!!!

My girlfriend is the same way. She never had touched a gun until I took her shooting. She loved it. Now she has her own gun (Beretta 92F), and she wants more. I took her to the range to shoot some machineguns. She loved it. She showed pictures of her shooting various guns to her two grandmothers. The grandmothers were horrified. One of her grandfathers, a retired Colonel in military intelligence, was laughing and thought it was great. Now she takes other women to a shooting range to introduce them to firearms. She wants women to understand that there is no reason to be frightened or timid around guns. She wants women to learn what we have known for many years; shooting is fun!
The more women that learn to shoot, the better it is for all of us.

Now you'll be spending twice as much on ammo.

Congrats, good for couples to share activities together. I think I am finally getting my wife to try some shooting this summer. Hoping she will like it, and sure she will be a better shooter than me. Heck sometimes I come back and my targets just have 4 holes in them---from the tacks.

The woman goes through .50 AE ammo like there peanuts at a ball game though and that ammos expensive. Now the cleaning part on the other hand, thats all mine, and the loading of mags, hauling the range bag, procuring ammo etc. Took her to her first gun show along with another couple we're friends with, hes a hunter and she hasnt a clue about guns. My girl explained about all the guns on a table and knew more about them then the kid at the booth, and she pointed out a S&W .500 and said, "I like that one, its cute." I think I fell in love all over again lol.

I always enjoy hearing and reading these kinds of stories! It hasn't been that long ago that women in the shooting and hunting sports were pretty uncommon. It's great to see it turning around! Especially in the last couple years. Women are finally realizing guns aren't something to be afraid of, and carrying one can save your life and the lives of family and other innocent victims. And anytime a husband and wife can share a hobby/sport they both enjoy, it's bound to make a happier marriage! You might have to spend more on guns and ammo, but it's still cheaper than a lawyer and alimony! Big hugs to all you guys who have gotten your ladies involved in the sport!

My wife had never shot a gun prior to our tying the knot. Now she owns a Buckmark that I bought for a wedding gift. She does enjoy burning a brick of shells but the cleaning is my job
