I bought some 20 rd. mags from Ruger. Are they different than what Ruger is selling?

Why didn't they do this 15 years ago? CDNN has factory 20 rd for $25 and 30 rd for $30. They are late with this particular "innovation." Joe

The factory hi caps sold by Ruger and CDNN are for the Mini 14 rifles in 5.56mm. They don't work in Mini 30s which are 7.62x39mm. Mini 30 hi caps that work have been rather elusive over the years.

Seems that I read somewhere that Ruger was now offering 20-round mags for the Mini-30.

Of course, not in New York. :(

Yes Ruger is selling OEM 20rd magazines for their 7.62X39 Mini-30. I bought them right from Ruger.

The 20 and 30 round magazines that have been available in the past for the Mini 30 have been a mixed bag. A few work OK, but most are junk. CProducts has a reputation of manufacturing quality mags and of having good customer service, so a lot of Mini 30 owners have been looking forward to them producing mags for the 7.62x39. They have been promising them for at least three years but the magazine buying frenzy of the past couple of years caused them to delay the project. I did not know Ruger was producing 20 round magazines for the Mini 30, but their high capacity magazines are usually more expensive than after market magazines.
