Polish P-64 9x18?
I noticed where some of these are available pretty cheap(about $170) and the ammo appears to have a tiny bit more power than a .380, and it is available for only $12-15/box, so was thinking about buying one. They are all steel and probably not the utimate CCW but might be fun to plink with if they are reliable and have decent accuracy. Any one know anything about these little Polish "PPK like" guns?

I have the polish makurov it is a well made gun. Though the trigger is heavy as cinder block the double action is light light on rounf number2. I have shot it a little and like it. you realy have to mean to shoot it in double action so makes up for the lack of a safety, but i have heard a good gunsmith could lighten and smooth that out. as for the 64 i thought it was partially aluiminum frame. a friend of mine has one took it apart as something messed up. for the price I would get one. They seem to be nice little pistols. I plan to pick one up soon. Here is a good site/forum for the P-64 with lots of info: The Unofficial P-64 Resource

The P64 was the first firearm my son bought. I'd never looked at one so he brought it over for my opinion, which wasn't very favorable. I told him the trigger pull was too heavy and the grips would hurt his hand when he shot it. When he shot it he said everything I told him was true. I changed the springs to lighten the trigger pull but it didn't help enough. After the abuse of a few trips to the range he got rid of it and bought a revolver.
He still wanted a semi auto in 9x18 and found a PA-63 at a gunshow, he still has it and likes it a lot more.
