Somebody get me of off of this boat.
Went fishing today and as always when I get home I feel like I'm still in the boat.I used to get the same thing when I surfed as a kid.No booze were consumed.(well maybe as a kid)
I've never had motion sickness and you can't get me sick,name your ride.But a day in the waves or on a boat and I get this feeling every time.
BTW We had a great time and caught a few fish.

A Vomit Comet.. AKA a KC-135
I got to ride in one.. didn't get sick but MAN was it fun feeling "zero gravity"!
I came VERY close to throwing up during Red Flag aerial combat training however. Sitting in the back of an AC-130 doing ridiculous evasive maneuvers takes its toll.

How long does it go on? I'll feel that way after spending time on a boat but it goes away pretty quickly.

Your subpsyche likes boat rides better than you do and doesn't want them to stop.

"Sea Legs". Spent a few days at sea before, after getting used to the motion of the boat it takes a day or so to get used to solid ground.

I used to do a lot of sailing and would experience the same sensation if I was out for a couple of days or more. I agree with the above post, it is your sea legs.

Used to get this after every long trip as a delivery captain. After a week at sea it would last a couple of days. The first time you step into a phone booth or shower stall you are bouncing off the walls. (o;

I have experienced this before and I knew exactly where the term "drunken sailor" originated from.Maybe they really weren't drunk but had "sea legs".It is way cheaper than booze and feels just about the same.

It just showed up one day like magic. The next day it was gone. I have some other closeups of it. Pretty amazing how the Sea Drive (outboard) was riddled. The alloy metals looked like it was hit with a shotgun.

I used to take two day canoe trips down the Brazos River in North Texas. The first night, I felt just like you describe - seemed like it took forever for the rocking motion to stop. The next day, no problem.
