Not very elegant but very practical if you are in a big war, the Victory model. I do have a nice Model 27, 17-3, and 1917 but can't take decent pictures to do them justice.

Elegant?
If Grace Kelly
were to own one of my guns, it would have been this:
If Clint Eastwood, (not typically described as elegant, but none the less might be considered that way)
owned one of my guns it would be this one:
If Sean Connery
owned one of my guns, it would be:
sorry, not a Smith, but elegant anyway.

For me, one of my Smiths stands out above all the others. It gets the Academy Award for Elegance for me. This is a Model 27-2, with a 3 1/2" barrel, blued, shipped in September, 1978. Target hammer and trigger, white outline rear sight, red ramp front, target stocks. I think it meets all of the above criteria.
You probably have a favorite for "most elegant Smith & Wesson" in your collection. What would it be?

My Model 24-6 in 44Spcl, 6.5-inch barrel, nickel finish would be my favorite, hands down. Beautiful and a lot more accurate than I am.

I think this is one of my most elegant revolvers. A 3rd Model 28 DA with a 6 inch barrel.

ditrina, beautiful Smiths!
To me, my M58, fits all the criteria listed. There is just something about a fixed sight N frame with magnas on it. These magnas are from Patrick Grashorn.

This is by far one of the most elegant firearms S&W ever made. I have showed several time on this forum(just can't get enough of it).

After looking at the photos included here, I am too ashamed to post what pics I currently have of my best, but they my 5" 27-2 and my rebuilt 28-2 WSP Commemorative that now wears Grashorns and a 3 1/2" barrel. I have a beautiful 36 that pretty much matches the 27 that I'm fairly proud of as well.....

The most "elegant" one in my collection is my 1911.
This post made me realize two things:
1. I need to get more S&W's
2. I need to take better pics of my 1911

Although not really uncommon like some of the beauties here, my meager collection nonetheless. I've posted these before.
A pair of p&r Model 29s, one in the case is unfired. And a 3" LH 610, no lock. I found the grips for the 610 in a pawn shop.

I'm thinking like Sal today...
A 1939 .38/44 Outdoorsman with Humpback hammer (not original, or at least not mentioned in the letter) and some medallionless ivory stocks that are sized to the prewar N-frame. It didn't ship this way, but I think it got a little better after it left the factory.
It's accurate, too.
GLL, this is 55276; you may have the number already.

My most elegant S&W revolver? Easy. Pretty little 18-2 that I bought at a gun show about 2000. It is in about 98% condition. I think it is a beautiful example of S&W quality and craftsmanship.

My 27-2 shipped in 1975. Was only in the gun shop three hours after being traded on a Siaga/AK shotgun! Just the tiniest bit of bluing loss at the muzzle and a faint turn line. Superb deep blue.

6 inch Model 57, un-fired since leaving the factory.

I like the Model 60-4 3" FL; it's beautifully made, minimalist, smooth, and accurate. Add to that the fact that almost any K frame qualifies.
An ugly gun is a crime against nature.

Probably this Model 26-1 in .45 Colt, wearing a set of Keith Brown's Ropers
...or maybe this old SAA Colt, customized way back when by pal of Elmer's
This Browning is pretty classy, too
I just can't decide...

That is one nice revolver. Fixed sights, which I love. The .357 magnum will get the job done. Nice revolver you have!

The only one I have that meet the requirements.
Not a safe queen though. I shoot it at least one a month.
K 38. 1948. May have been unfired when I got it last year.
Not anymore!
