Default Sad but true

My wife works for a local cardiologst office.Pretty good size practice.A week ago a fellow came in for what he believed to be his appointment.Upon arriving the receptionist informed him that he was there on the wrong day and that his doctor was not in.She politely rescheduled for the following week and apologized. It was his error but she apologized trying to appease his foul response. That was not good enough though and upon leaving he stated quite clearly that when he returned the following week he would bring his gun.My wife was to be the one who would check him in on that day.She was somewhat concerned but went to work anyway.I told her to be alert when he came in and be ready to move as a moving target is hard to hit(half joking).Long story short the office reported it to police and they were there to pick him up before he entered. He admitted to having said that and the officer reported that he had prior arrests for similar incidents. He spent at least that night in jail.By the way he had no weapon on his person or in his vehicle. He was in his mid 60's,you would think old enough to know better. But I guess the customer/patient is always right.

My guess is that he's always been an idiot.

Angry

If somebody took him out back and whipped his butt real good, he might not be so quick to make serious threats such as that. He sounds like a bully who's gotten away with it for sixty years to me.

"Be sure brain is engaged before putting mouth in gear". Besides, did it ever occur to him that when he showed up "with his gun" THEY might be ready for him? Does he think he's the only one with a gun?

"Age and wisdom often travel together but sometimes age goes it alone."
That's a quote from my big sister.

Yes, it does sound like he needs a dose of some whoop-***. I'm available if he wants to pick on someone his own age.

I reiterate; incidents such as this illustrate why some people should not be allowed to carry/possess firearms.

Be safe.

Making threats toward your cardiologist? Making threats period is stupid but towards the guy responsible for making sure your ticker is working right. "Yes Mr. Jones you are fine, in perfect health, no need to worry and we probably won't need to see you for a couple of years." "Oops, I guess I was wrong."
