After a tough 7,000 miles, I'm home!
I rode my BMW motorcycle, along with a best friend, from Southern Cal. to Washington DC for the Rolling Thunder Memorial Day ride. We left Rancho Cucamonga May 19th and arrived in DC May 29th.
Run For The Wall is an MIA/POW organization that sponsers and maintains the yearly trek from California to DC stopping in small towns USA along the way.
This was my first time to DC and to the Wall.
Couple of pics.

First of all thank you for your service to our country. I see in the one photo that you are coming back across on the bridge from Arlington Nat'l Cemetary. My youngest son is baried there, he died in a navy helecopter crash(CH46) he was a navy rescue swimmer.
I'm sure your ride was a sign of your loyalty to your fallen brothers.
God bless you.

mhakel -

I'm sorry for your loss.
Your son and my friends are in good company.
A select few were allowed to actually ride into Arlington Cemetary. It was a very sobering experience.
The ride, Arlington, and the Wall, was an emotional roller-coaster I'll never forget.

Nice pictures, Bruce. What a memorable ride in so many ways. Glad you're back safe and sound. I, too, am grateful for your service to our country.

Sincere sympathies, mhakel, in the loss of your son, I can't even begin to imagine the heart ache that must bring.

All of you are true heroes.
