thehighroad.US seems to be working fine.
If thehighroad.org is really gone I for sure won't miss it or shed any tears. There is a long story about the apparent hi-jacking of the original forum from it's founder and there is a bit of info on thehighroad.US about it.

Maybe Oleg won his suit? That would be nice, having two THRs was too confusing!

Oleg's original forum was hijacked from him, apparently.... He reformed it and changed it's dot address.

Pretty sad situation....as Oleg is a great guy. I'm done with it, as the Mods over there are a bunch of PC types. Just typin' this out and stating it will get me tossed if one see's it.

It's a trend as other gun forums are being taken over by liberal trolls that have been elevated to admin/moderator positions. We are witnessing the end of some once fine forums....

History,,,, I signed on to the "old" THR a few yrs ago was a visitor for a few months, the I was BANNED for foul language. When Oleg restarted THR.US I signed on,when he said he had control of .org,and was willing to let past banned people back in, I applied and was told as "he" didnt ban me "he" couldnt let me back in.he suggested I reapply under a different screen name, I did and was granted access. all was fine until last thur. I made a stop at .org, and a screen said "You have been banned for foul language" ,allowed back...never". I tried to email the mods an ask for the particulars but havent gotten a reply.
This all happened about the time frame others are having trouble getting on.

So does this mean that THR is now gone for good? I only started having problems with it on Sat. the 12th. I had been on on Friday and there were no warnings that they were taking it down.

Internet forums are like bars. Some allow spitting on the floor, nudity and rollin' on the floor fighting, some don't. Some wash their glasses, wipe off the counter and keep their bathrooms spotless, and some let your elbows stick to the bar and treat you to the smell of stale urine while you enjoy your beer and chips. If you don't like the surroundings....... you are always free to leave and go somewhere else.


Like this place, both of the High Road forums have some great folk and are a good source of information. Like this place, they may not be everyone's cup of tea. IMHO, it would be a shame to see either one go.

I just checked thehighroad.us. It is working fine. Oleg himself had a post that said the .org outage is NOT lawsuit related, but the whole server or domain for several forums is down. Technical problems of some kind.
I hope the .org version disappears for good, with all the moderator shenanigans on it.

.org is back up. Apparently it was a bad firewall.

I just tried both org and us. I am banned on both.
