now you need some schedule 80 pipe in the 2.5 inch - 3 inch dia range and boiler plate to build an improper brush guard. think mad max ... add a cop car door for some flair

It needs a six inch lift, cut fenders, and at least 35" tires to be a redneck vehicle.

I have a 2000 cherokee, you keep the oil changed in those 4.0 Liters and they will run forever. Mine has around 170,000 miles on it.

I had a 1997 Cherokee Sport I bought new. My son has it now and it is well past 200,000 miles and just keeps going strong. The 4.0 six is a great engine. Overall the Jeep has been a great 4x4. The only major problem was the air cond. evaporator went at about 150,000. One water pump, brakes and rotors every couple years and one set of shocks.

I think it looks great, if it had a brush guard and a Safari roof rack it would be perfect!

Is a brush guard the same thing as a deer-smacker?

How about a belt-fed Browning .30 on the roof?

Our 1996 Cherokee with the 4.0 six just turned over 300k. Yeah, the lifters make it sound like a diesel, but it still breaks the BF Goodrich Wrangler's loose at the drop of the go pedal!

Yours looks a lot better than my '97 Cherokee, except for that Obama picture in the back window.

How did you paint it? I'm assumig a spray gun and automotive grade paint, but then again I've seen some real magic with cans. A guy I knew in high school bought a Baja Bug that somebody had painted with Sears latex and a roller -- not so good.

Back in my old days I painted my 77 F250 with a roller using genuine OD GI paint. Man, it looked good.

I like it! I've been toying with the idea of getting the "Mossy Oak" stick-on vinyl for my rocker panels, but can't quite justify it right now.

I painted right as it sits with Krylon camo green paint and camo black (both are ultra flat) that I picked up at Walmart, 4 cans each. The camo pattern was done freehand. I masked off with tape and newspaper what needed to be, but it was all done in my yard right where the jeep sits.
