Default I'm in trouble again

I have this bad habit of telling my girl what I just happened to buy. What's wrong with me?
Found a virgin Rem 700, 7mm rem mag with a Leupold scope atop for 425 bucks at the local pawn (nice sling to boot). I am a sucker for anything that has the gold ring scope for less than 500 and I folded when without me asking the guy said the seller would take 400. Of course I had to.
Guess I won't make the Birmingham gun show tomorrow. Regards, Chef

I have the ability to get you out of trouble.

I will give you $550 for it, sight unseen, and come get it since you live in the area of my birth so I come that way often.

So your investment will make a decent profit in a short time and nobody can get in trouble for making an honest profit.

Just do what she does when you ask her about something you know she just bought and say, "What? This old thing? I've had it forever."

Thanks for the offer oldman but I'll hang on to it since I've already got the nod! She's very good to me and would never really give me serious grief. I (almost) always discuss the financial situation with her first, I think that's why I got the look! Regards, Chef

+1

Many years ago when my now wife and I were first dating, I received an unexpected dividend check in the 5 figure range, and I suggested that we go out for a nice weekend to celebrate my windfall. During the course of the weekend she asked me if I had plans for the money, to which I replied I was going to divide the money into two separate but equal piles one pile I was going to spend on wine, gaming, and wild living and the other pile I was going to spend foolishly.
Shortly after we were married she told me that when I made that statement, about the money, that was the day she decided we were going to get married.

I would never consider beer and wild women worthless. Although too much of both could render me worthless, I really wouldn't mind too much.
