Interesting interview with Kel Tec designer
This is an interview with the chief designer of the new Kel Tec 30-round .22 magnum. I thought it was very interesting.

Thanks for posting that. Very interesting. Kel Tec is just across the State from me.
If 22 mag wasn't so darn expensive (Better yet if I could reload it) I would like to have that pistol. It would be hard to keep your finger off the trigger. 30 rounds gone in seconds
I'd like a FN 5.7 but reloading that is a real trick and difficult to do.

Interesting read and thanks for posting. I understand that the PMR-30 has been shipping, but I have not seen one yet. If these prove to be reliable, I'd like to own one.

BULLET, YOU ARE KIDDING US!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THEY HAVE A DESIGNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had one P-11, NEW!!
I shot it eight&1/2 times. Eight shots went out and the nineth shot went off with the breech partally open. I almost killed myself. The guys at the range in AZ jast about peed their pants. They had to put it into a vise to get the casing out. I sent it back to Kel-tec because the frame was completely worped. KT sent me a new one which I SOLD PROMPTLY!!!!! I figure if your eyes etc are not worth the price of a good gun, DON'T OWN ANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+1 I can't believe anybody who calls themselves a gun designer would every admit publicly they had anything to do with designing or manufacturing the Grendel!

Based on the latest available data (2005) Kel Tec manufactured 60,000+ pistols. Half of what SW and Ruger produced. They are the 3rd largest US manufacture and only started producing firearms in 1995. They are a very small company, no where near SW and Ruger so they must be doing something right. Their Zytel polymer frames are as good as anyone else. I have the pdf from Dupont showing the resistance characteristics of Zytel but can not post it here as it is to large of an attachment. It is amazing stuff. It all started with the Nylon 66 which Remington used in there 22 rifel. H&K probably had the first polymer frame pistol.
You can find it here if interested.

It's amazing the big old Ruger could not have a original idea and copy KT almost directly.
