Default Greek Letters?

I'm sort of a computer dweeb so I have to ask dumb questions; are Greek lettters available anywhere on Microsoft Word? This is really about fireams, as I have a Colt Army Special 38 of WW I vintage with the Greek letters episilon sigma on the butt and I want to write something about it but would like to use the actual Greek letters.

Cyrano, I have one of those Greek New Army guns too. Great shooter. I'll send you a PM with a link.

If you don't want to use Greek characters in any program (not just Word), here's how: Click the start button on your Windows screen. From there, All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Character Map. The character table that comes up has a small composition window that you can fill up with the characters you want by double-clicking on the character in the table. Then click the "copy" button and you have that string on the clipboard to paste into whatever text you are composing.

Just copy these: as capitals, Ε Σ, or in lower case, ε σ.

I don't know about Word for PCs, but on a Mac, you go to the Insert Menu, and then to Symbols when the menu drops down, and then select the Greek characters of your choice and insert them using the easy to understand dialog box that pops up. Easier though to copy what I just gave you, and of course, you can change the font, if you want, to match the rest of your text.

Είναι όλα τα ελληνικά μου.

P.S.: Here's another easy way to do what you want. Go to: Google Translate and choose English to Greek and translate to your heart's content. As a test, copy the Greek phrase I gave you above, paste on the Greek side, translate it to English, and then post your result. If you laugh, you did it right.

Lightbulb

If you have a "smart phone" download an app. called Google Goggles.
Using Google Goggles take a picture of the Greek letters. It may be able to tell you what they mean.
Just a thought.

Click the 'insert' tab on top of the screen, then click the 'symbol' button, a table will come up that includes Greek letters.
