I am officially in cahoots with the Taliban!!
As you might remember I am at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. The Afghan president of this country stated today that the US and Taliban are in cahoots to keep us here!!
I am just a lowly scum sucking contractor/ war profiteer here but that has been the most offensive thing I have ever heard!! I think the zillons of dollars that have poured into this country plus our cost in lives would say otherwise.

While I am a firm believer that the US has always done its best to be on the right side of history, and has been honorable and honest in its quest to bring and/or defend the freedoms of those living outside of our borders, we do have a pathetic history of propping up and supporting some of the world's worst and most corrupt despots known to man.
As any armchair psychologist would know, Karzai is simply projecting; he knows his days are numbered.

I will be surprised if Karzai were to leave the country with $100,000,000 in a suit case to live a life of luxury in Switzerland. I figure that if he ever leaves, he will leave with only the clothes on his back, with the money already on deposit in a Swiss bank account.

My feeling is that when we do leave that Karzai will last maybe 6 months......he will either be ousted or killed.

I have friends at the new Afghan Judicial Center at Parwan -- I can probably get you a cell with a nice view to share with your Taliban friends (just kidding of course) 
Seriously, it is very insulting considering the investment we have made
in American lives and money to try to salvage that country --

Karzai should take care of his own responsibilities, and if he can't handle it!! They should put someone in office that can. But our troops there are our responsibility, and we should take them out of that **** hole, and bring them home to their families.

I was a Project Manager on a fairly large construction project in Afghanistan in 2008-2009. Our security contractor was owned by a nephew of Karzai. The most corrupt country on earth.

We have wasted a fortune in blood and treasury in his country.We should have kicked butt and gotten out and to he'll with "nation building".They have lived there thousands of years and still are just out of the stone age.Get out,send drones to spray roundup on the poppy crop.They would be so busy surviving we wouldn't have to worry about them.
If you want to get an idea of how money is wasted,things screwed up and guys maimed and killed read "Outpost".Some heads should roll.

Peyton, stay safe my friend. And remember this if anyone
outside of your "people" are in need of help. I would hope
that you would put your *** on the line for your fellow
American soldiers but if it came down to risking life and
limb for a civilian there or Afghan forces remember that's
not what the Taliban would do.

I have traveled the whole country and sadly the "projects" we have done do not seem to win a lot of "hearts and minds".
