I'd give you $20 for it:-)
Seriously
I found a copy at a local used bookstore that was a 2nd or 3rd edition with outlined paragraphs and loose pages and they want $75 for it. I would say if it's a 1st printing $150+ would not be out of line.

One the abebooks site, $50 to $995, depending on condition, edition, signed by author, etc.
Abebooks is a great site -- I've gotten some very good deals there.

i have one, the jacket is kinda ripped up. was given to me free at a gun shop. its fun to read his musings prior to the .44 mag. only took 55 years for Ruger to chamber a blkackhawk in .44 spc. Elmer spoke of it like it was happening in the next model year

+1 on abebooks. I have found old books there that I could not find elsewhere.

It probably would have if the .44 Magnum had not been introduced.

"he had to have known."
Probably not. Bill Ruger only had 2 revolver frames back then, the Single Six and the .357 Blackhawk. Ruger rechambered a couple of .357 Blackhawks to .44 Magnum and blew up at least one of them. That's when Ruger developed the larger frame Blackhawk just for the .44 Magnum.
The story goes that Remington sold some brass to Winchester and an Winchester employee found some .44 Magnum brass and took it to Ruger. Ruger went to Remington and got a small amount of loaded ammo.
Ruger almost got the .44 Blackhawk on the market before Smith & Wesson.
