Default Who is/was Strahan? How can you tell his work?

I have a M25-5, picked up several years ago that has the most incredible action job I've ever seen, polished trigger with overtravel stop installed.
I was told that this may have been done by him. Is that possible? How can one tell his work?
Is he still alive? Where there any distiguishing characteristics or markings anywhere on guns worked on that are a trademark?
There is a revolver in the 'for sale' section listed as 'by Strahan' that's what got me thinking about mine, the one shown has an identicle overtravel stop on it's trigger.
Thanks for any info either way.

Smithhound, the gentleman you are inquiring about is Travis Strahan, a gunsmith in North Georgia. He should have a website as I was looking at it a few months back. I want to say that I sent him an email but did not get a reply. I do not know if he is still alive. He did some work for me back in the 70's and I can tell you it was first rate. He took a 1917 Smith (Don't cuss, they were cheap and plentiful then) and put S&W adjustable rear sight with WO and a 1950 Target barrel with red post front sight, grooved the top strap between rear sight and barrel rib. It was then sent to Smith where they fitted it with a new hammer and trigger, and reblued the gun and you would have problems telling it was not totally factory done. It was my understanding he did both revolver and automatic work but 45 autos were his specialty. Hope that helps some. P.S. To my knowledge there were no identifing markes to indicate his work.

Take the grips off and see if the spring has been altered. Travis Strahan used to build some PPC revolvers and some of them at least were converted from the standard spring to a system similar to the J frames where there was a rod with spring with a custom built aluminum block below it to take up the space. I had one and it had a very sweet action. If you Google Travis Strahan you will find more and may be able to find pictures of the alteration.

Thanks for the info. This one has been in the safe for awhile, but I don't recall any spring mod. I live in SE Tenn, just a stones throw from N GA.
According to my records I bought this from a now closed shop here in Cleveland TN, I remember the dealer told me that it was sold to him by a woman who had gotten divorced and ended up with her husbands guns, a ****** thing I think but who am I to walk away. He's the one who mentioned Strahan, this was Dec 18, 1999, again according to my records. I've also been told by a couple of other knowledgeable local shooters that it is possible due to the quality of the work.
Butter smooth action, I had to tighten the strain screw up as it was really too light for anything but target shooting.
For what it is worth here's a picture:

The prop rod is hiding the overtravel stop (dooh!). I'll check out the website and see what I can find locally.
Thanks again.

Check under Accu-lock pistols. It's still an active site.
