Barely worth mentioning...
Sometimes I fly under the radar with this stuff.... 
I managed to fandangle a French Tulle Fusil de Chasse for my Persona....
Bet not one in a thousand readers of this post, have a clue what that means......

Introduced by the French fur trade in the 1670's, the "Fusil de Chasse" was not a trade gun but was the weapon of the Voyageur, the French fur traders and eventually Rodgers Rangers.
The Tulle "Fusil de Chasse" or hunting gun was lighter, with cleaner lines, than the military or trade guns of the era. Imported in large numbers, it saw use in Canada and the Mississippi River valley.
We at Pecatonica feel we have faithfully recreated the "Tulle" gun using modern materials.
Of the Indians, it was written by one of the early French traders: "Une fois qu'ils en auroient connula difference, on ne pourvoit plus leur en faire accepter di'autres". (Once they know the difference, they will not accept anything else).
We know you will feel the same way about our Tulle "Fusil de Chasse".

I've been reenacting the F&I for about 25 years and am the subject of a John Buxton painting, "Fearful Noise."
"A Fearful Noise" by John Buxton, Artist of our Heritage
That's me in the water. I'm carrying and original Hudson Valley rifle, by the way. My usual carry is a Dublin marked Bess with steel furniture.
The Tulle is a .62 cal. smoothie made, originally, by a consortium or guild in Tulle, France. (Toolee) It is graceful, light and a ripper good smoothie. It likes stacked shot, not rolled paper cartridges and you might change the lock for a good Siler if it has a generic one.

Rare these days. My gun is a 28 bore.... Must of gottin' bored (sic) with all the 20 gauges over the years...

I didn't know that Tulle was a gunmaking town, but a French military arsenal is there and they have built many modern guns for the French Army. It may be the only French arsenal still running as St Etienne is shut down and Ch*tellerault does nothing but administration. Perhaps Tulle also made guns for the fur trade on a government contract 'way back when.

I too have F&I War re-enactment experience (Starks Rangers), as well as Civil War (5th NH Inf.) and American Mountain Man (Free Trapper).
I'd love to see a picture of that new Tulle Fusil de Chasse!
Do you have a specific persona? Who is it? Or if more generic, care to enlighten?

And I have been there packing a fly rod. :-) Near Ft. Collins, Colorado; flows out of the Rockies from West to East into the South Platte River near Greeley, Colorado. At one time it was a great area in which to trap beaver. ........... Big Cholla

Don't have a fusil de chasse, although I am familiar with them.
All I have is a Northwest Trade gun carried by the commoners.
My Great Uncle built the first cabin up in the Poudre Canyon. He home steaded there and built some tourist cabins back in the 30's and 40's. I must have thrown a ton of rocks in that river as a kid.

Beautiful gun!! I have wanted one of those for a LONG time but the funds just never were there.How does it shoot? I would love to know what accuracy you get with patched balls.

Beautiful rifle!
My umpteen-times Great-Grandpappy would have been a veteran of the F&I War, if he had survived it. He was on the British side.

My wife has a couple of GGGGUncles that were in the F&I War. One was an Ensign and was killed at Braddocks Defeat. His brother was wounded at the same, but went on to be a Captain under Washington. We believe he was later killed in the Carolina's by Indians.

I am Isaac Pease....
Isaac is buried in a cemetary on my property. He grew up a young man on Cape Cod. I grew up on Cape Cod. He was a fisherman that fished out of Nantucket. I was a fisherman that fished out of Nantucket. He moved to Wilton Maine. I moved to Wilton Maine. He married a gal from Wilton, me too... My wife is a decendant of that same family line. When I bought the property, the deed claimed there was a cemetary on the property. The day I closed I walked up through the woods straight to a hidden cemetary. It was as if I was on a mission....
I walked up to a overturned grave and righted it.....
It was Isaac Pease's headstone....
