Hey Burg!
Get the snowblower out. It's on the way. And of course we like to hear about how many of your neighbors you iced in.

Burg's probably out caroling tonight. I can see him now with his snowflake sweater tied around his neck, a stocking cap covering his head, sipping on hot chocolate while trying to get the babes under the mistletoe. A true Hallmark moment.
Looks like you guys might get a dusting, Charlie. It's coming down pretty hard in Louisville. Bet Hattiesburg would be a demolition derby if you get an inch or two.

We have had 5 inches today and I cleaned 7 driveways. I did mine 3 times as it would quit and then start again.

Hey, its Christmas and I'm Santa! And why, you ask, is Santa always so jolly? Because I know where all the naught girls live!!
No snow here yet. I'm waiting and hoping.
The fire has burned way down, almost just coals now. My stomach has pretty much decided to keep the full meal inside. For a while it was touch and go. I've still got a house full and the youngest grandkids are awake but being quiet (good). The baby occasionally chatters and laughs, but isn't being full of the normal energy. Being stuffed sometimes does that.
In answer to Charlie's questions, I really don't have any neighbors now that I hate. The last one on my short list moved out this week. Good riddance to her and her overweight daughter.
Remember, a snow blower is like most power tools. It can be used for good or evil. The neighbor chick 3 houses down the side street gets full sidewalk cleaning services. Her somewhat dull boyfriend thinks its just because I'm a nice guy. No reason to burst his bubble. She's cute, him, not so much. Gotta take care of the widow lady 7 houses down.
The minister up at the Methodist church was baffled at why their sidewalks and the Congregational church both had their walks cleared last Thursday. Simple, I was out roaming with the snow blower. I now know it will go 3 full blocks up the highway, clear all those walks, and return with fuel to spare. One of my neighbor co-horts who attends that church asked him if he followed the path of cleared walks. Of course he didn't.
Now that I'm retired, I've got a lot of time for both good and evil. Those who cross me will pay the price!
He Charlie, don't you have another Bday in a couple of days? I'm thinking the 27th or 28th? Happy Bday in advance.

You've got a good memory. It's the 28th. Being I'm already off on the 27th, I decided to also take off the 28th. I don't know why. Everybody important to me will be working. Maybe I'll write some stuff on the forum. I've got a really bad family I've been taking notes on. These folks are real scum. Most of them are in jail.

Why didn't you blow off the Episcopal church walkways?
Merry Christmas,

The official almanac says we got 1.1 inches. Its the powder stuff, not the heavy cement. Had to get up early (its hard for us old retired types). Went out to scrape if off and the stuff just blew away. No substance at all. Besides, I still had the 2nd round of Christmas to watch. Kids love it, but then they're the ones getting the loot. We pulled up at the older son's house at 8:08. Before 9:00 all the presents were opened and the kids were amusing themselves at antagonizing one another.
So I asked my son if he knew how much the day cost him, total. He knew where I was going with it and grumbled. Cost for less than an hour in the thousands. A year of Christmas would cost millions!
Went the other direction to other son's. Fewer grand kids, less commotion. After 6 hours of it, I wanted to go home.
Best part of the holiday so far was the 2 hour nap in front of the fire. We've still got about 4 inches on the ground. I didn't even bother to fire up the machine. If they can't navigate 1 inch of fluff, they should stay inside.
In answer a to why I didn't do the Episcopal church...you find one within 3 blocks and I'll do 'er.

Max, what is that in your hand? Looks like it might be some de-icing fluid.
