Just watched a 1970 live performance on YouTube of "Polk Salad Annie" of the King of Rock and Roll at his best. Would have been 76 today, I believe. Great entertainer, a giver and not a taker in life, and I believe he would have been a huge proponent of the Second Amendment if he were here today. While he had personal addictions, they could never overcome his ability to fire up an audience, or sing a song like no other singer before or since.

My father and my daughter share his birthday.. Man I remember Elvis in those jump suits!! Gosh, he could sure sing!! Shame he died way ahead of his time.

It's my youngest son's birthday today also. He turns eighteen. Where have the years gone.

Happy Birthday Elvis.....long live the King!

Elvis was the most charismatic and talented entertainer ever.
Got to see him perform live seven times, what a show!
And yes, Elvis loved his guns, all kinds, and had a shooting range in his back yard (you can see it on the Graceland tour in Memphis) that he used often.

There is no other voice like Elvis. He could sing any type of song-rock, blues, gospel, and it came out like velvet. I can listen to him anytime...and he sings in my key!

Happy Birthday, Elvis!
