kind of neat that you can use your own stocks...but not sure how it stacks up to the Crimson, which is the industry standard.

Agree, but CT does not make one for a M36 square butt, I'm going to check this out.

This is the option I have been thinking of trying. I like that the hand can’t cover the laser as you grasp the grip. I also like that it is closer to the point of impact than the laser being under the cylinder. It’s a small difference, I admit.

I actually own a couple of these Laser Max units. Neither they or the Crimson Trace grips are perfect, both have their plusses and minuses, but the biggest problem I have with the Laser Max is they are easily activated (I primarily pocket carry), but not to worry, they shut off...after 30 MINUTES!!! As a consequence, you get to buy and change a lot of batteries. Also, CT seems to have Laser Max beat in the Customer Service arena.

Regards,

Dave

Used one for a week. Liked the idea of side mount but couldn't use my Secret Service grips or Hideout grips. The mounting plate changes the dimensions of the side plate so you the right grip panel won't fit flush against the gun. Rubber grips work better. Put a hundred rounds through the gun with no problems with the laser sight. Activation was awkward. Went back to Crimson Trace LG-405.
