Found my large model 41 triggerguard & Tyler grip!
I have torn apart my house looking for my large triggerguard for model 41's and the Tyler grip thingie I had for my (now stolen) model 12, as well as some other stuff.
I had decided to list a Winchester rifle for sale that I had bought used some time ago and never shot, and wanted to take the scope and rings off - I thought folks would want to see if the receiver was in good shape. I haven't been able to shoot much since I moved a couple of years ago, so I went to the garage to get my rifle rest to hold it while I took off the scope, and in one of the compartments of the rest, there was my triggerguard and grip! I was so happy, I'm posting a picture of them for no other reason.
Now if I can find the lanyard ring for my Heritage model 1917 and a couple of other things, life will be good. I gues everything comes to he who waits.

Finding stuff you lost is more fun than buying stuff. You get stuff without paying for it!
Kinda like that bonus you get mid afternoon when a piece of roast beef from your sandwich dislodges from that half broke molar in the back and you get an unexpected snack

Or when you find that cigarette you thought made it out the car window, but is now to your enjoyment, filling the car with smoke that smells like carpet.

Maybe someday I'll find the capture papers for a Chicom Tokarev I got from my boss when I was in the Army. The paper was looking a little ratty from being in the open so I put it in a safe place. I haven't seen it in fifteen years and I've torn the house apart looking.
Interesting pistol: he was an advisor in the Parrot's Beak area and took it from the body of what turned out to be an NVA 2d Lieutenant killed in an arc light strike. Wish I could find that paper.

Lost keys
I'm home, truck is home, kids are home, wife is at store with her car and keys. I cannot find my brown leather key case. I look every where for 3 days. Nothing -- skip ahead 1 year.
House is sold, moving packers are coming, so get the 3 guys together and say, "Find a key case that matches this wallet and you get $10 (1987). I just want to know where you found it." House is packed, and ABSOLUTELY EMPTY. I go through every room, every clostet, every shelf, the entire basement and garage, still no key case.
How do you come home, park a vehicle, go in house, and not find your keys?
