1919 Poster
If you were around in 1919 and saw this poster, wouldn't you, seriously, just keep drinking?

That picture is enough to drive any guy to drinking. I bet none of those ladies were ever kissed on the lips.

See America, what can happen when you can't be armed in bars. A bunch of grannies come in with hatchets and spoil all the fun.

#6 was especially important for moonshiners, runners, speakeasy bouncers, Al Capone, and others that prohibition provided jobs too. Tremendous boost to the economies in the rural/mountain South, and most large cities such as Chicago and Atlanta, where illegal whiskey prices went through the roof, and employment could be found in its manufacture, distribution, and "marketing" departments.
I think I'd have been quite relieved to know I didn't have to kiss any of those women.

That's it. Thanks for reposting. It is a subtle reminder of some of the good benefits of booze.

Some of those old biddys reminds me of my 7th grade teacher. A smile would have cracked her face wide open.

To me, that photo looks faked.
It lacks the imperfections of a 1919 photo. I'd guess it dates to the 1960s or 1970s and is posed as a novelty photo.
Just my take on it.

Could be but it is amusing none the less. If it is fake the person who put it together rounded up some heinous looking women somewhere.
