In the desert we usually go untucked, so I blend in with the crowd most times, carrying IWB. If it's someplace nice, like a wedding or really nice restaurant the shirt gets tucked. Then it's time for the ankle holster. Luckily this doesn't happen very often, so I went with untucked in the poll.

A polo shirt sounds quite good and comfortable. An IWB tuckable would work great. I don't usually wear one when out in the city. Mainly because I just don't feel dressed enough. Here the summers are brutal. When possible I wear a light vest that has enough pockets to fit my requirements.
If I need to make a quick trip to Walmart or some store a polo works fine allows faster access to the CW. (I started to put 'draw'). As a retired LEO I don't plan to make any quick draws. Now judgment and decision is more important.

I couldn't vote - because I do both and don't do either consistently.
For work I tuck my polo shirt in. But I wear a CC vest
When not at work I generally wear a T-shirt with an untucked button down cover shirt and carry IWB at 4 o'clock.

This has to be a record!

FWIW-untucked, but only if the tail is squared-not with the rear half hanging lower on the big heinie than the front.

Untucked.
Do you realize how time consuming it is to wrangle that much material?

If the shirt has a tail I tuck it in. If it doesn't have a tail I leave it untucked.

Out unless it's needed to be in...
If it needs to be in, it goes in. But I avoid as much as possible situations/settings where my shirt needs to be tucked in. If I had my way I'd wear shorts and a T shirt for everything. I hate clothes. In cold weather I'm a flannel shirt guy. Usually with the tail out unless required.
I can't stand constrictive clothes, especially on my feet, since I'm diabetic. When I hit the door (coming in), shoes and clothes start ejecting. The necessary tucked in shirt comes out or off completely.

I saw a preliminary post-mortem examination of a cadaver wherein the deceased had 5 12 gauge rounds taped to his thigh - he was only wearing sweatpants when killed. He was neither tucked nor untucked!

When I was younger and thinner I always tucked. Now I wear it untucked to help hide my belly.
