Default Dinner!

It's good when the kids learn to earn their keep by contributing food.

Fishing,Guns,Music,Food and Drink. All of that with friends and family and some of us got it going on.

Jam session at my house tomorrow night.I'll leave the guns hidden as their might be some adult beverages going down.

Might get out Saturday for a little fishing.

Repeat.

Faintly, carried by the wind, comes the call, "FISH FRY!!".
The rest of the world can go hang, until after. Let's see, breaded and
fried, with diced potatoes and sweet corn fried in seperate skillets;
preceded and followed by appropriate beverages. A better meal would
be hard to come by. Looks like your "contributors" are coming along
quite nicely! TACC1

That's great that she likes to fish. My parents and grand parents were real good fishermen. Now, can she clean them?

All I would need is corn meal and oil with a little pepper and salt when they are done. I miss fishing. I should step back into it.

She has a hard time killing anything let alone scooping out the innards. My mom said they would be cleaned when they came home.

Mid day the tune changed.

Now, that ain't what I was thinkin' a'tall. Many people refer to their pets as "the kids". I figgered the new dog had killed a rat or a possum, or something like that, and fetched it to her, and she was makin' a funny post.

if it's the pets I always say "the cats" or "the dog" or refer to them by name. I've never referred to them as the kids. But when Moe gets in my face when I'm sleeping I say "go bug daddy, kitty"

So here they are. One dozen (perch, sunfish, brim, bream) whatever you wanna call em's and one bass.

perch jerking with a green trout thrown in for good measure. Mighty Fine!!!!!!!!!!
Before you fry them, make a small shalow slit on each side of the dorsal fin the length of the fin. Also make a shallow slit over the side of the fish where the body cavits ends. After frying, it makes it easier to pull out the dorsal fin and bones as well as the rib bones.
FFIW, I usually just gut & scale leaving the heads on-waste less meat that way. Plus it's kinda cool when your meal looks back at you

Good. I see you leave the tails on. Grandpa & I always did, too. Grandma LOVED to munch on fried bluegill tails!

I have a hard time digging that thing out of the gills. So i just lob the head off and gutted them, and they will be fine until fishman gets here.
