Default Peter Falk RIP

Heard today that Peter Falk died at the age of 83. Loved watching Columbo, was always my favorite cop shop.

Default RIP Peter Falk

We had a detective that we nicknamed "Columbo" as he had Peter Falks' character demeanor down perfectly and didn't even know it. Very unassuming, a little scattered, treated everyone with respect - i.e. "Can I get you something? Are you comfortable? Everything O.K.? etc. by the end of the interview many times he had the "person of interest" confessing to things they did as a kid. His interview technique was amazing. Everytime I saw Dave I could not help but think of Peter Falks' Columbo.
RIP - Lt. Columbo.

Sad news, all the greats are passing on

The role of Columbo was original and captivating.

He also played some great roles in other movies, one which I thought was great was "Cookie"

RIP Peter Falk

RIP Peter.

He was also hysterical as Vince in "The Inlaws". Sheldon was played by Alan Arkin. I remember the scene where the two were discussing an inscribed photo of JFK that hung in Vince's office. He was explaining the inscription, which was: "To Vince - at least we tried. JFK."

Vince: "...he was crazy about me. That inscription referred to the Bay of Pigs."
Sheldon (incredulously): "YOU were involved in the Bay of Pigs???"
Vince: "Involved?!?! It was MY IDEA!"

Classic!!...

I liked him as Columbo, but he was great as Guy Gisborn in Robin and the Seven Hoods.
I think Sip was in that one too.
