Beautiful Czech Pistol!

I have a couple of CZs - they're a lot of gun for the money.

Very nice. I wanted a stainless one but was told there were none in France at the time. As there was a time limit of 3 months on my authorisation to buy, after which I would have to go through the whole application procedure again, I just accepted what was available.

That black baked-on (?) finish seems pretty durable. I didn't have any problems with mine. But I don't live in a coastal region, although it is rather humid here.

Sometimes, they get too much of the epoxy or paint or whatever it is on the slide and it can be hard to read the lettering. Just a QC issue.

"For the money" !?!?

Current prices are an outstanding bargain.

The CZ-75 is the pistol that the famous Bren Ten was based on. Probably one of the most copied autopistols besides the 1911 and B-HP.

Before the 'Fall of the Wall' , gray-market CZ-75s would fetch $1000-$1500 if & when ya could find one.

I've had my CZ-75 SP-01 in 9mm for eight months now and never cease to be amazed when I take it to the range.

When shopping and I first picked it up... the grip and balance caused me to buy it on the spot.

I bought it for a range gun and sent it to Angus at the CZ Custom shop for their trigger/comp hammer job. It came back and surpassed my expectations.

The gun is inherently accurate and with the "new" trigger lets me shoot much on a par with my Model 41. The trigger is "different" as most of the pull (very light) is on taking out the slack... Once that's done just think "bang" and a hole appears where you were thinking.

It's definitely not a SD gun with this trigger.

Edited to add: The double action trigger is smooth and quite nice as well.
