Michigan Forum Meet & Shoot?
Has anyone thought about putting together a Michigan S&W forum member meet and shoot?
With barbecue so we could wear barbecue guns?
In some location more or less accessible to folks from all parts of the state?
With enough notice so folks can fit it into their schedules?
Anyone thinking about it now?

I'd be interested. Don't really have a geographical preference, since I live on the SE side, but a farm near Burt/Mullet lakes.
Only problem is I don't have a BBQ gun...looks like I'll have to go shopping for "something to wear! " [First time I ever said that...I usually hear it from the better half.]

I'm SE also. Sounds like a great idea. We have more than enough members in the lower.
I don't get on the Forum as much as I used to so if something comes up, please bump my PM.

As a Yooper, I'd prefer somewhere in the Upper Lower if possible.
Although I have to be way downstate from time to time and could work things out with enough notice. That means around three months due to schedules my wife and I have to work around.

If anyone in the SE side of Michigan wants to attend a S&W group, I'll be posting mine in the lounge on Oct 1st. Its in the Cleve Ohio area (North Olmsted). Heck a few of you could car pool to it. Had over 50 people in April. Keith Brown came up from Dayton and would come again. Larry

Jebus35745 is right, Keith Brown brought some really beautiful wood to the last meeting in North Olmsted, Ohio. Talk to the MAN about your DREAM STOCKS.

First of all, great idea. Now to finally pick up the leather to go with the fancy gun...
If you could get folks to come to the Eastern UP, the Les Cheneaux Sportsman's Club has a simple but quiet range. I'm sure they would be up for a few more gun nuts on any given Sat. As long as they don't mess with the trap shooting.

I can't commit to anything as of yet but the wife and I have been discussing a (possibly long) weekend "Up North" sometime this Fall, depending on our schedules. I might be able to hit a meet somewhere in the northern lower, if that's what you guys come up with. We haven't decided where we'll be going but I have extensive time up there and would be happy to revisit Atlanta/Alpena or Indian River or Charlevoix/Traverse City, anywhere in that general area. As much as I like the UP, it's just too far for a weekend trip coming from metro Detroit, unfortunately.
In any case, I'm interested and we'll just have to see how things work out. Good idea!

Flint area here. Sounds like a great idea.
Anywhere in the lower would be fine.

Anybody from the Upper Lower want to agree to find a range for October?
I have some time available after the 10th due to cancellation of another event.

I'm in between da U.P and da L.P., but we keep a vehicle at the Charlevoix airport. October should be a great time for a get together. If the dates work out, I'd like to make it.

There's also a private club that may rent or loan us the facility in Cheboygan.
I can't remember the name, but it's on the access road to the state campground. I have not seen it, but know a guy who shoots there, and I'll ask him about the facility.

If somebody can get a range in the upper lower, and people can attend, I have time available on the weekend of Oct. 14-15. If we could hold it on Saturday I could have travel days on either side of it.
What do you folks think?

I would be interested depending on where and when. I'm off 3 out of 4 weekends and can travel the lower easy enough.

If everyone wanted to come to the U.P., I could host a meet at one of the ranges I belong to.
My wife would even make lunch.
I have no connections downstate, so if we want to get together there someone from the area will have to find a place to meet.
Oct. 15 is the day I have available.
Anyone up for it?

You guys are doin good. Just need one person to find a middle meeting point. You'll have something that is real fun. When I formed the group in Ohio it really wasn't convenient for everyone where I have it or the date conflicted with some people. The first meet will be somewhat small but do it every 6 mos and they will come. I don't set a date in Nov bc of hunting season. The spring date is after the snow, in April. Good luck and keep trying, I see a lot of interest brewing. Larry

Down here in NE Indiana I'd be interested. Let me know, always ready to eat and shoot. I'm a displaced Detroiter, here in Hossier land, a bullseye shooter.

Wow this was on page 4. Looks like its almost dead. Anyways, if you live in the southern part of Mich, you're welcome to attend my bunch. Its only the 4th meeting but has come a long way. If you want something regional, this is the closest one. Larry
