Default Fusil de Traite

Interesting gun. It is a French Fusil most likely of 1720's era or later. Stocked originally in Walnut, it might have eventually needed to be restocked by a Colonial. This time in American maple and more in a Trade Fowlers pattern. All of it's furniture is type D and it is iron mounted.

.62 diameter Smoothbore, length of the barrel is 42 ". Basically a 20 gauge gun by modern standards. A good gun for a F & I war to Rev War era...

Don, thanks..

Most likely this one will do some fowling, this hunting season. All my guns are real working guns. As a reenactor, living close to the original New France Borders....this gun suits my persona....

It should come in handy. French & Indian problems are much more likely than a zombie attack.
