Two Days In A row At The Range
I hadn't realised how stressed out I was getting. Used two days off
to re-acclimate myself to shooting. Probably shot ten different firearms.
22lr, 25acp, 38S&W, 38Spl, and 45acp. Actually was able to get some
sleep last night, too. Hard to believe how relaxing that was.
Anyone else enjoy a range-trip like that? That question doesn't
even need to be asked. Good shooting, everybody! TACC1

I moved to a new pastoral appointment in June. Two weeks later we celebrated the wedding of my youngest daughter. I did the service. Family and extended family from up north flew in... very big show. All went well. Then... went on two week vacation and camping trip. Now preparing for annual charge conference for three churches. So... haven't fired a round from any of my handguns since about the second Monday in June. On Thursday I went shooting. It was not good weather. I took my Glock G-22RTF and my Ruger Mk. II and went out behind a friend's barn and shot at my favorite target... used harrow blade painted white. The axle hole makes a good aiming mark. At 10 yds., I had a lot of fun trying to put bullets through the axle hole. It's a lot harder than one might think. Gets your mind off things. If at all possible, I'll be going Monday to repeat the experience. If it works out, I'll be taking my "Precious," i.e., 18-2. I may also take my 17-1. It is a lot of fun shooting dueling style. Cheers!

I like to call it Shot Therapy. Good for the peace of mind one needs every now and then. I believe I'm due for a session soon. Real soon.

Bruce, I remember you posting about the harrow blades. I'm
guessing they'll still be there next time, too. Handy to have.
Herman, that's a great descriptive phrase! Hope you get some therapy
real soon.
Speaking of which, I've got a recently worked on 44Mag carbine, and a
Redhawk that are clamoring for TLC. Tomorrow sounds good....TACC1.
