An open letter to Lee and the Mods.
In light of recent forum events, I would like to publicly thank you for all of your time and effort. We aren't the easiest gaggle of gun loving goons to keep under control, but you do it.
With all of the things going on in the world, it is difficult to stay on topic sometimes. This is after all a S&W forum, a firearms forum. We are lucky that you keep "the lounge" around at all. Sure, sometimes threads in the lounge are firearms related, but a lot of the time they are nonsense. Nonsense but good ol' friendly chitchat.
I have belonged to a number of forums. Other than this one, I am registered at maybe four other forums. This is the only one I have stuck with. Heck, right now I am sitting on a rooftop waiting for an RTU to run through a cycle and what do I do? Pull out the old cell phone and hop on the S&W forum!
I feel that the rules in place help weed out some of the riffraff that is common on other forums. There are a LOT of good folks here on this forum and I think you guys can take some of the credit for that.
Anyway, thanks again. Your hard work is greatly appreciated.

I agree! I too belong to a half dozen Forums and I frequent this one the most. I also am a supporter - just a Bronze member, but a member never the less.

I should prolly chime in and echo the sentiments of the others here and convey my gratitude as well. Lord knows I could use a bit of good will in advance of my next transgression!
Honestly, this is an amazing site for quality of; administration, content, civility and comradery. I sometimes get the feeling we ain't that easy to oversee so, well done gents.
Without this site we would all be in search of a support group and be in some sort of therapy (probably court ordered)!!!!!

Yeah I have to agree, this is a comfortable place to come to and the mods here as well as pretty decent folks make it so. I know in a recent thread I bumped against the rules a bit and it was allowed but a gentle warning was issued. And rightly so. Thanks.

I completely agree with the OP. As one who holds a minority(here) viewpoint on several issues, I respect the spirit in this forum that mirrors that which makes this country great in its protection of and tolerance for minority viewpoints. I think that as gun enthusiasts in this difficult time nothing has underscored the necessity of this respect than the common hurdles to protecting our rights that we're all facing.
Thanks very much to the administrators, moderators, and users for making this place one of the best on the Internet.

I add my appreciation for all those who help make this forum a great place. This includes the mods and also the great members who freely offer their great advice and knowledge. What really attracted me, and keeps me coming back, is when one of the oldtimers gently responds to a request such as "I just inherited this old revolver with 38 S&W CTG on the barrel. Can you tell me what it is and how much it is worth?" The converts made by giving the information they seek and making them welcome is priceless. And when Hand Ejector kicks in, all the better. Thanks.

I too appreciate the S&W forum and all the members along with the mods. I have learned much and enjoy tossing my 2 cents in here and there when I can.
