Default Big surprise

I sent a S&W M25-2 off to smith for refinish and at the same time sent two Colt pythons to Colt for the same work. Yesterday the Colts returned, and no word from Smith yet. I thought S&W was supposed to be faster than Colt. What happened?

Would you like to share some details with the crowd ? Like what was the turn around time on the Colts ? Colt is currently quoting 6 months for a reblue. Did S&W quote a turn around time ?

I sent both guns off the first week if June, colt advised a turn around time of 16 to 18 weeks and Smith didn't quote any time frame. I have had Smith return refinished guns in as little as 4 weeks in the past but usually it it would take 6to 8 weeks, never had to wait this long before.

As new, I'd post pictures but I'm on a dial-up network at work.
I had one reblued and a standard SS polished to a bright SS.
Now they almost look to good to shoot, almost.
