Default Question about Express Police Supply

So I went on there to check out some of their firearms and the price was right on one that caught my eye so I decided to order it.

After a while I noticed that I was never asked what FFL I was going to use. Instead it just asked me my shipping and billing information.

I figured I would be asked during the order confirmation section, but nope... didn't happen.

This may sound silly, but I stopped short of clicking the "place order" because of some paranoid fear that they would actually send the gun straight to my house, but since they didn't ask for an FFL, what am I supposed to think??

Somebody clear this up for me please.

Since they probably don't plan to ship anything, I guess it won't matter. I ordered 2 M&P's from them Friday evening and emailed my First Responder credentials. Monday morning, I called my FFL and asked them to fax their license. Tuesday, I check my order status and it say "'not shipped'. I called and they said they had everything and it should process that day. Thursday, same drill. I call and they tell me both guns are out of stock. 1 due in Dec, the other, unknown. I am not too pleased with the customer service and communications so far. Sounds like I am not the only one.

I've pushed EPS on here for quite a while.
I have bought a lot of stuff from there this last year. I ordered a M&P22 in January that I'm still waiting for though....

Their website sucks. Sometimes prices are wrong, listed too cheap, and sometimes they won't have an item that they say is in stock. Most of the time it's all good.

The first time I found them I was scared to finish the order because they didn't ask for FFL information. I asked some friends if they thought I could get in trouble, then I finally just ordered the dang thing!

I got a call from EPS asking for my FFL information so they could ship the gun. If you're not on file, they will call you. Now that I have my information on file, I can click on any gun I want and it shows up at my FFL in a few days.

I still shop at EPS because their gun guy Mitch is really great, and the prices are great. I mean a Streamlight TLR1s for $84 with free shipping? Wow.

Bud's Police has a great looking site, I haven't bought anything there yet though.

I'd tell you to just call Express Police and talk to Mitch and you'll feel a lot better. If you do, ask him where my M&P22 is....

Thanks, LL.
I've called twice and spoke to Trevor both times. Your posts about them are what led me to order there, but I am not impressed, so far. I don't mean that as a dig at you, but I feel like these guys weren't honest and up front which makes me not want to do business with them.

I can only speak to my experience, which was fine. Nothing spectacular to shout from the rooftops, but nothing to denigrate them either. Just a normal business transaction. I ordered an in-stock LEO trade-in 4046 w/CT grips, paid with credit card, sent my FFL's license info, exchanged an email with Trevor about something minor, and the gun was shipped within a day or two. The gun was a bit dirtier than I expected, and I emailed them back asking about that, but wasn't surprised at a reply that they just verify functionality and don't spend time cleaning every single piece they get - they don't have the time with the volume they do.

I'd probably buy something else from them if they had what I wanted at a price I was willing to pay. YMMV.

I ordered a 45C from Bud's Police Supply today, and got a good deal on a 9 full-size, so I will call and cancel my order with Express on Monday.

Agreed. I have ordered from Bud's previously and this is my first order with Bud's Police. I can say their communication is great. I received an email for every step of the transaction. They emailed tonight to say my gun should be at my FFL on Monday.

My experience with PES, has been good, although my purchases never involved guns. I will continue to order from them.
