Default Model 65 Working Gun

This is Frankengun as seen in one of my previous posts, outfitted with the grips I used as a template when I round butted it. I bought it from my employer as a basket case in '91, rebuilt it, and carried it for the last 9 years of my security career. This is the most accurate gun I've ever owned, and one of my fondest memories involves shooting Distinguished with it in a rainstorm. My duty belt was set up for Comp IIIs with a carrier I built up from a Safariland Comp I quad pouch. Got a lot of weird looks at the range until I smoked everyone on reloads

Other then my issued duty pistol, an H&K USP2000 in .40 S&W my most often carried handguns off-duty include the following:

top, my favorite; a David Sams, Sam's Custom Gunworks overhauled Colt .45 acp Combat Commander and an FNP-45. Although the FNP is a beast, it is a great shooting hi-cap gun:

Very first shots out of the box...

Nothing says oops like 30 rounds of 5.56 guided to the target by an Eotech.

My most often carried off-duty hand guns (except the Oly OA93), Model 36, Colt Agent, Model 38, and a Detonics MkVI Professional .45.

Sorry I missed this when posted... It's a 627-5 and I bought it used, so I'm not sure exactly when it was made. Probably 2005 - 2008.

This 1980 vintage 64-3 showed a lot of wear before I polished it up a bit. It still has a few dings here and there. It is still a good shooter.
