Beautiful buck; thanks for posting the photos, rags.
I'm always intrigued by their ability to move through dense woodland without getting their antlers tangled up in the brush.

Funny! Sometimes when I let the dogs out, they'll run to the fence. Not always. When they do, the deer take off quick and "run" through the thick brush/ trees and I just wait for 'em to get clotheslined and they never do! Amazing...

bob, that is a dandy! i'll come up and risk going to jail for that baby
if you find his sheds this spring i'll swap you some nice S&W grips for them a little incentive to go lookin!

Well, you'll just have to help me this year!! I usually walk in late February after a good snow melt. I hear they don't last long because other critters eat on 'em and they tear them up. There ought to be a boatload every year. This guy just has some very unique thick ones. I have pictures of some racks that are allot bigger! Some 12 points. They aren't as thick as this 'ole boys though!

wow, i guess you've got the deer! i usually do most of my looking in March and early april....the majority lose theirs in march...maybe you are just a tad early in your search
