National Champ Will Come From The SEC
LSU will be playing Alabama in New Orleans. I'm only 100 miles from there but I'm afraid I won't be able to afford or find tickets.

Just for fun I checked " STUB HUB" a ticket reseller about 30 minutes after the game.. $1700.00 gets you a seat in a SECTION.. with no choice... $180,000 gets you a suite.. ( basic)

I am a SEC fan too, but shouldn't BCS have matched undefeated LSU with the highest ranked team that they had not already beaten? How simple is that?
If Alabama were to win, the National Championship would go to a team that did not win its own conference and did not even qualify to play in its conference championship game.

Nervertheless, these are the two best teams in the country. Sorry Cowboys.

Charlie,
I think Southern Miss. should be in it! They obviously could kick some butt in the SEC.
I hope Saban can get his kicking game going....that was really embarassing.
Go Cyclones!

Monday, January 10, 2011 #1 Auburn (130, SEC Champion) 22 vs. #2 Oregon (120, Pac-10 Champion) 19
Thursday, January 7, 2010 #1 Alabama (130, SEC Champion) 37 vs #2 Texas (130, Big 12 Champion) 21
Thursday, January 8, 2009 #2 Florida (121, SEC champion) 24, vs. #1 Oklahoma (121, Big 12 champion) 14
Monday, January 7, 2008 #2 LSU (112, SEC champion), 38, #1 Ohio State (111, Big Ten champion) 24
Monday, January 8, 2007 #2 Florida (111, SEC champion) 41, #1 Ohio State (120, Big Ten champion) 14
Maybe the BCS computer figured the only way lately to beat an SEC team in the National Championship Game was to get another SEC team.

What happened to Auburn..
this year? I guess they couldn't buy a good enough QB. Maybe they could rent Newton on Saturdays....call his Dad and ask.

What happened to Auburn this year? We enjoyed being National Champions.
Auburn fielded the 2nd youngest team in D-1 this year and finished 7-5. They did a LOT better than most "experts" predicted.

Auburn lost to...
#1 LSU
#2 Alabama
#6 Arkansas
#15 Clemson
#16 Georgia
...with that young team. I think the future looks pretty good for them.
And this from a Bama boy.

When did Texas have to vacate their win? That's news to me.

The only way to prove this is to give OSU a shot at LSU.

If we gave OSU a shot, we would have to give Iowa State a shot because Iowa State beat them. And we all know how tough Iowa State is.

Or have the SEC winner play UCN - the University of Chuck Norris.
