Default touch pad fixed, whew.

Anybody else have a touch pad, mine is a g-tablet, 10.5 inch, it's pretty much all I use when I sit in my recliner, my kid's bought it for me about two years ago because my back injury wouldn't allow me to sit at the big computer for very long, well acouple days ago the charging port broke loose so me being Mr. Fixit I whip out my good old soddering iron and wham bam problem fixed! Until I put it back together, then it would come on but wouldn't boot up, well take it to the computer store and 50 bucks later I get it back after three days, my wife couldn't be happier, I guess I didn't know how much I missed it, who knew, technology huh. Anybody else attached to these devices? I actually felt withdrawals.

I use my iPad almost exclusively for the same reason you do (back, neck, etc). I would undoubtedly go through bad withdrawal symptoms if I didn't have access to it for an extended period. I've had it just over a year and probably haven't used the laptop or desktop computers more than a half dozen times. I couldn't be more pleased with it.

I use my IPad every day. This morning it started reloading pages about every 2 seconds...I was panicked! It's stopped doing that for now. Any ideas of the cause?

I'm not very technologically savvy but I'd try restarting it if it acts up again. I've found that most of my questions can be answered on the iPad forum.

I'm in NZ with my iPad...great for keeping in touch on the forum, news, and email...just wish I had a dongle for loading my pics directly into it for email....but I can do that on my FILs computer or wait until I get home. The kindle style book function also lightens your load for travel. And If you have kids, the iPad apps really come in handy on a 12 hour flight...Tons of educational and fun games....

Btw...I picked up a Griffin stylus for mine....so much nicer than using my fingers....

That was exactly what mine was doing when I put it back together, it kept reloading start up page over and over, I would seriously suggest letting the proffesionals take care of it, my local computer store had mine fixed in 3 days, well worth the 50 bucks, that's just what my computer store charged me, I've been using them for 15 years, I was also panicked, I don't use my main computer anymore either. My wife and our computer store informed me I'm not to try to fix it anymore!

You bet, it's been real helpful to me! I bought the camera kit arjay is referring to and it works great and interacts with photobucket real easily too.

I've got one of the G-Tabs, but haven't really used it since I got my Xoom. One of the nice features of it (G-T) is that it's got a full size USB port. And shortly after I got my Xoom, work issued me another, so I've got two of them now. I guess I need to sell off the extras.

Yup... the the wife hardly ever uses her MacBookPro since getting an iPad. The good news is that she hardly ever uses the iPad since she got her iPhone. Now I get to use the iPad.
