Pics of all my firearms, WARNING! only one smith! lol
I joined this forum not too long ago and promised pics in my intro thread so here they are (with stories) lol
most of these are phone pics, my apologeezz
i turned 21 in december and bought one of my dads sigmas off him( he had two bc one was stolen and replaced, and then recovered...long story) I had shot the sigma a bunch before and knew even before buying it that id be trading it off for a nicer auto pistol in the same caliber since i already had bought a big box of 40. So within a week i had no sigma, but i came home with this: DONT HATE lol
Glock 35
when i turned 21 i also took claim on these two H&r 22's that my grandpa bought from a collector. they were almost unfired, but ive put them to use since then, but still keep em as minty clean as i can. very good shooters. i love the 676. i put a few magnums thru it for the first time Today actually
first is a model 676, 7.5 barrel with blued finish, original box, Both original L.R. and Magnum cylinders
2nd one is a 999 sportsman , good woods/trail gun
those werent the only hand me downs i acquired, as i had recieved this rifle a few years back when my great grandad passed away.
its a jc higgins model 50, FN m98 action, in .270
i need to get some different scope rings or mounts or whatever to mount that scope in the picture as it doesnt clear the iron sight. i have the original 4x that came with it i just want a variable on it, and i plan to get it ready to use next years deer season
and last but far from least, my model 65-5 roundbutt 3" bbl that i picked up at a local gunshow a few weeks ago
i was reluctant to post pics of it bc i wanted to get it fixed before i show it off but what the heck....i was fiddling with a little cheap holster and i dropped the gun and the one thing that probably could have broke, broke... so ill be getting this hammer BOOB'd and/or replacing it.
I LOVE THIS GUN
i promised to treat her better, and she forgave me about the hammer mishap
i was almost immediately more comfortable and shot more accurately than with my glock that ive put 600+ rounds thru
ive since had to stop myself from emptying my bank account on smith revolvers every time i see one
i want a square butt k frame 357 with at least a 4" barrel and saw one in a for sale thread here that i have had to constantly remind myself how pissed my wife would be and that i have bills and blah blah blah i cant have my cake and eat it
and i almost brought a semi rough model 36 home from a pawn shop the other day
i think its safe to say im addicted.

The good news is.............it only gets worse.
Your M-65 isn't a disaster without a hammer spur, it's just not much in single-action right now. I bought a somewhat abused version of the same gun about a dozen years ago, it was rough cosmetically but mechanically sound, and I shot it better than most of my other handguns, even with the minimalist stainless steel sights. (As my vision got worse I started painting them odd colors with nail polish.) But since I train with my revolvers in double-action and have to qualify that way, I neutered the gun to DAO and shaved off the hammer spur. The 65's and stainless guns of the same era are capable of some amazing trigger pulls with some judicious work, and the DA pull on my 65 has to be felt to be believed. I've taken it to a couple of good are gunsmiths and let them work the trigger, and their mouths drop open and they ask me if there's a roller bearing in it. There isn't, but it's slick as oiled bear poop!
I now use my 65 as a training gun for those with small hands and limited hand strength, and it works fine with everything but CCI's harder primers. It's not the prettiest gun I own............until you pull the trigger.

I like those H&R's - two very underrated .22's in my opinion.

Isn't there something in the bible about stoning one to death for only having one S&W gun?

I think there is something in the rules allowing an "accommodation" as long as he continues to post and has good intentions of increasing his collection when the opportunity arises.

Lol
Go easy on me. I'm a broke married college dropout with a 6 month old baby. Lol
Only paid for two of those guns. And trust me, I would have a hundred smiths if I could afford it.
Although I do foresee me buying a shotgun before I get another revolver.

Don't let your personal life interfere with your gun collecting.
Just kidding! Welcome to the insanity.

Thanks for sharing your pics and their stories. I only have two Smiths myself and I'm at least 3X your age so I'm way behind the curve. Nice collection. "Absolvo te"

Nice collection of odd and under rated guns.
Reminds me of a friend that aquires not too common guns like that, along with an old '48 Dodge, '62 Rambler, '57 Ford wagon, Glastron boat...
They all need lovin'.

Good looking stuff! I like the H&R revolvers, and really like the mauser action 270. I'd go back with the 4x scope, but I'm wierd that way.

Pretty good start on a gun collection !
Before long you'll be posting more gun pics, maybe a few more S&W's --------------
HA, I have that H&R 999 Sportsman top break 9 shot 22LR myself. Very good shooter.

lol im not one of the guys that says my glock is better than any other gun, but it serves the purpose that i bought it for. a reliable auto pistol that i can lightly mod and have high capacity and highly availible mags. i let the thing speak for itself.

thanks, and yes i will.
yea ive learned to really enjoy the topbreak 9 shot when out in the woods plinking or shooting paper bc of the easy quick reload and obviously the 9 shots. but i also love being able to shoot magnums through extra cylinder in the 676.
i like that i have one topbreak revolver, one with removable cylinders with a rod and what not, and one sidebreak/traditional smith style revolver designs.
good variety to play around with and appreciate

i dont NEED the bigger scope all that much to be able to get the job done, but some of the hunting clubs around where i live require you to count the rack up and have limits as to how big the bucks have to be to let you take em.
so i picked up that variable 3-9x to make sure thats never an issue if im looking at a long shot.

Just wanted to give you a hard time...but seriously your title shouldn't have warned about one S&W it should have warned about the G....I can't even type it. As long as they function, you like them that's all that matters. Keep adding to it and enjoy!
