What does your wife want for St. Valentines Day?
My sweet wife of just over 47 years and I had a very civil discussion of this subject today. I totally missed our first Valentine's Day We had only been married for 53 days. In my defense, I was confined to the hospital as an intern on 36 on/12 off shifts, for the past month. I could have done better, but I didn't. I have never lived it down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today, she told me that she just wanted us to be happy. She will go for her weekly massage (these are therapeutic because of her microvascular CNS disease). I am not a fan of Italian food but will try to take her to Olive Garden for lunch, if the Marines and their significant others have not mobbed it! We are happy and have everything that two old people need except for her health.
She threatened me if I bought flowers.
Hope that you all have a great day.

Mine just wants me to fail. I can't imagine getting her anything she'd be happy with, but I'll be in trouble if I don't make an effort. I guess I'll never understand women.

Nothing specific. Whatever I get her,she will act as if that's exactly what she was hoping for. She is a treasure and nothing I get her will measure up to what she truly deserves.

I bought my Valentine a card, and gave her a trip to Florida with her buddies. I AM NOT GOING! I thought that was the best gift I could give her, me not going. She probably feels the same way. After 40 years of flowers, candy, jewelery and other junk, a trip with her buddies seemed to make sense.

My wifey is my best friend. She does not like the opra, nor store bought flowers, and does not do cards. I bought her $40.00 of chocolate from Preece Designer Chocolate's (located in Meridian, Idaho. They make their chocolate right there and the prices are reasonable, check them out) and tomorrow night I will take her out to Dickies Barbecue. She has 4 firearms, and one is her Lady Smith. Gotta love her!!!

What she wants: A new husband that does not buy guns and can afford to pay all her medical bills in addition to being able to fund her wants.
What she will get: Breakfast to go from McDonald's just like every other day of the week.

Valentine's means Chanel #5. We have pretty much a different ritual for each of the special days but it wasn't planned out that way just an evolution after 42 years of marriage.

Two weeks ago we went out for breakfast and were killing time afterwards by browsing in a couple antique shops. I was scheduled to meet a friend at a 10:30 and we were going to a gunshow. At one point she took me by the arm, drug me over to a display case and pointed to a French brooch in the cabinet.
"See that green brooch?" she asked. "I like that green brooch, I have a couple outfits which that brooch would look good on."
So last weekend I took a shot in the dark and bought her that French brooch for Valentines Day.

After 40+ years, my wife has given up on me. She just handed me a shopping list for the "Going out of Business Sale" at the doll store. (Thank Goodness!)

I got the wife a charm for her Pandora braclet that my son got her for Christmas.
Last week she was complaining about our dog's hair shedding and making a mess, so what says "I love you" more than... THE SHED PAL - vacuum grooming system! I'm sure she will enjoy the Shed Pal more than a silly charm trinket.

I always get my wife a single rose, candy and a mushy card. She generally doesn't seem to care much about it, but I'm more interested in the cover it gives me.

What does my wife want for St. Valentines Day?
A romatic evening with her boyfriend.
We've been divorced for about 25 years!
I hope she has a great evening.

A few years back when asked what she wanted for Valentines Day she replied "oh, nothing". So that's what I got her... worst mistake I ever made.

I don't know: she hasn't said a word to me in two days! Maybe a rose and a card will thaw some ice.

Never met him, but his name is Rodrigo and from her description, he is very romantic, not to mention tan and muscular.

Aloha,
Mine likes BBQ Berettas, made the mistake of showing her an 84 EL.
Didn't know that Beretta even made any.
If not that, Another one of these:
She wants a Matching Pair. Like Jewelry to her.

What my wife wanted for Valentines Day and what she got were two different things. What she wanted was a nice quiet dinner in Victoria, Texas, and what she got was an xray in northern Illinois. We were planning on going to South Padre Island for two weeks, but had to turn around in Hayti, MO due to intense pain in her leg and foot. She was afraid it was a blood clot, but tests were negative; xrays revealed a broken bone in her foot. Now she gets to wear a very fashionable boot for several weeks.
Ironically, our trip was contingent on our daughter recovering from foot surgery just after Christmas. She got the OK to lose her boot and drive last Wednesday.
