What is your other love?
I not talking about wife and kids. That should be a give in. Besides guns what is your other love or hobby?
Mine is Mustangs and drag racing. No! Not NHRA. Street Cars! NHRA is to much of a business for me, like Nascar.

My love besides guns is also cars, although mine has 4 cyliders, big turbo and allwheel drive.....I tried sooooooo hard to get my plate to say "honk3x" but someone's already got it damnit. Anyone who, uh, drives briskly beside another car on a close course lol, knows what honk 3 times means....I'm sure Mr. Rich knows....

OMG!!! Your all slow and delirious! Yes I know the 3 honk.
I do know someone that has a tag that says URFNSLO. I can't believe the state made that tag, but I saw it for myself.

Well most street races are from a "Dig" or from a stop. Honk three times is when you start from a rolling start, 50 or so, and go on the third honk...
Edit: on a closed course in Mexico, of course...

It's when your street racing in Mexico(because street racing is illegal in the US). Two cars line up on a roll honk 3x and go.
Hey wait a minute!! You're a LEO I see what your doing, I'm not telling on myself. You know what 3 honks is.

Outside of police work and guns, I am all about my family and Jesus. But I do have a motorcycle and a gaming computer system that could compete with Skynet.

Airplanes, flying, motorcycles and dogs! I have owned 30-40many airplanes in my life, ranging from a Stearman biplane to a Cessna 421, including three Harvard MK-4s (Canadian built T-6s), and restored quite a few, as well. In fact, I owned 9 different planes at one time on the late '80s. Yes, I am nuts about airplanes, and have over 5,000 hours pilot in command. I held a pilot certificate before I had a drivers license. I now have one airplane, a 1959 Cessna 310C, which I have owned for about 13-14 years. Probably my last airplane, but pretty much my favorite. I love the freedom of flying and the challenge offered by a "hot" airplane. I have done a bit of professional flying, but not much, as it seems to turn a passion into a job.
I rode motorcycles when I was a kid, but stopped in the mid-70s. Got back into it in 2003,bought a Honda 750 ACE, and proceeded to modify it. I bought a new HD Electra Glide on Valentines day, 2006. Interesting how one's outlook changes over time, when I was young, we built choppers from former police Harleys (actually built them, you couldn't buy custom parts and bolt them on back then, you fabricated everything). The thought of a windshield on a bike was distasteful, and saddlebags were positively repugnant! Now, windshield and bags are on the bikes at all times, and the fairing on the Glide is awfully nice.
Dogs, well, what can I say? They are what people should be like - honest, loyal, and courageous. They are great nurses, as well. I am currently laid up with a broken ankle, and my Papillon refuses to leave my side.
Anyway, those, along with guns, comprise my passions in life, and the cause of my ever-diminishing bank balance.

I am an avid clay shooter. Besides guns though golf is my passion. There is nothing like being out on the course and thinking about nothing else but the next hole or the next shot. No matter what it is in life good or bad it all goes away when playing golf. My buddy and I laugh when our wives ask us what we talk about when playing.
They would think things like "can you believe she did that?" or my wife this, my wife that". Hell no. "What do you think, 160 yards?" "Yeah I'm thinking 7 iron". Ahhh the joy of golf.

The few weekends I have nothing else to do (aka not working, working on the house, volunteering at a military museum or visiting family out of state) its golf for me. That is why I love 'sporting clays' its the best of both world... though now I need to get a good shot gun to stop renting...

Disc golfing! Which I may be the only one here which does. Lol.
Car stereos have taken a back seat once the 3rd child came along. All of this nice stereo stuff just sitting in a closet now. :-( Hard to transport 3 kids and a dog when 1/2 of the back is taken up by a sub box. Obviously worth it though.

I too have a love of cars. Mine happens to also be 4 cylinder, turbo, and all-wheel drive. You got me curious, what kind of car do you have? By popular vote, I will guess wrx/evo. Mine is a coupe, care to take a guess?

My other love was my '01 Honda S2000 until some soccer mom minivan driving cell phone yammering (bleep) drove into the side of my car, shoved me up over a square curb that ripped the wheels off the axles, caved in the over side of the car, and the resulting damage had to be dragged onto the back of a flat bed truck. But that car kept me in one peice and I stepped out of it and walked away. I will never love another car like I loved that one. I had a love of Mustangs until I drove that car. I had no idea a power to weight ratio could be so high. **** the Japanese for making such an amazing machine.

I've always been a gearhead and have had a few performance cars but today all I can afford to keep up is something reliable that gets good mileage. I just bought a new 4wd Jeep Patriot with a four-banger that I like a lot.
I live in snow country so 4wd is a must. The jeep's 4 cyl has better acceleration than the last 4 cyl Ford ranger I owned but nothing like the '67 pontiac Grand Prix land yacht with the 455 RAIV engine I once had.

Sweet car! Any mods to it?
I thought it would've been easy. I personally can't think of too many turbo 4 cylinder awd's that are coupes...
I have a 1993 Eagle Talon TSi AWD (wow that was a mouthful). I am the second owner, 93k original miles, leather, all the options. I just got done putting in am Evo 3 16g turbo, fmic, bigger fuel system, ECMlink, tune. I'm planning to get it on the dyno this spring but I'm guessing around 300 awhp. I'll put a picture up when I get home.

Boats-love being on them-tinkering with them and just plain looking at them.
Thought I was gonna branch off into motorcycles-but made the mistake of mentioning it to my son, who told my wife who told my momma and now I can't have one
(Well I could but I would have to sell one of my boats and that ain't gonna happen)

No radio rather listen to her thump
I sold it a couple years back. If I could sell my other house I'd buy a newer supercharged or turbo car.

BTW. Nice EVO! Supras, EVOs and WRXs are all good in my book. Unlike the annoying Hondas and Acuras we have running around here with the 3in open exhaust.

I sold it a couple years back. If I could sell my other house I'd buy a newer supercharged or turbo car.

Lol I know what ya mean by listening to er thump....I'd rarely listen to the radio when I had my 95....
It had a e cam, full tube headers/exhaust, cai, 4.10's..
The sorry BW T5 laid down in third on me and lucked up with a tremec t5 off Craigslist...I do miss that car....
But yeah I'm all cool with anything fast....loud and slow is pitiful, loud and fast I'm down with...
Ok no more pic whoring I promise.....but here is what it looked like under the hood j before the accident...

There is something about a motorcycle with a hair dryer on it.

It's a garrett Turbo charger, I don't know the exact size. Nick Trask at custom performance in Arizona worked with Garrett to get it right for the bike and Corky Bell of Bell intercoolers did the original intercooler design for me. It puts out a consistant 170hp at the back tire. It will give your arm sockets a hell of a work out. Cary Faas of Cary Faas racing did the swing arm, Ricks motorcycles in Germany built the tank, American racing did the wheels. The controls and bars are all custom built. The frame and skins are about the only things on the bike really stock.

I play golf and I love it, but hunting and fly fishing are my passion away from the golf course. I was a hiker for years but the knees won't allow that any longer. Now a good 4x4 to get me to my favorite fly fishing stream and I'm happy. Besides, what could be better than being out in the middle of nowhere, wading in a fly fishing stream and having my favorite S&W in my favorite shoulder holster. Hell I would give up golf if I could do that everyday.
