Question Did Safariland ever make speedloaders for the N frame .357's?

Want to get some speedloaders for my Model 28. Had Safariland speedloaders when I had Model 10's but can't find any available for sale for the N frame .357's. All I can find are the HKS ones.

Did Safariland ever make speedloaders for the N frame .357's?

Negative. The COMP-I is available for the 29, but that's it for n-frames from Safariland.
If you find something that works, please share it!

Damn.

HKS is all I found.

I saw that HKS or someone lists one of the heavy duty Rugers as also using the same speed loader.

Yes they do have them for the model 28 as I own some. I have the comp I speedloader. Won't own any other make as I have used them for over 30 years. I never had one fail me in different calibers. Good luck.

Sir, yes, they did--I have a couple of them, marked as Mr. lawandorder says. Looks like they don't make them any more, though.

As an aside, they also made them for N-frames in .45 Colt. I've got one, marked "J.F.S. A10 S5". Also no longer available, alas.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

They have not made the N1 in several years, and I believe they never made anything but the N1 for a six shot N frame .36/.357 caliber. I have picked up several here and there at gun shows, old gun shops, and Ebay. I have not checked Ebay lately, but they used to show up once in a while. It requires patience. They are very durable, I have been shooting the same ones for years.

Have you tried speed strips yet? I switched from speedloaders about 4 years ago. I like the versatility, they are about as fast, and they are flat in your pocket.

I guess the question that I have is- are you set in stone on using Safariland speedloaders?

If you aren't, there is a fellow now importing the SL-Variant German made speedloaders that will fit your gun and they are very close to a Comp-II in the way they work- actually much better, and far, far better quality than anything that Safariland has ever put out IMHO. If you add their extension piece to the speedloader, they are very well suited for fast reloads on the range. The one for the 6-shot .357 N frame is the N-275 and they run $32.00 each. I bought some straight from Germany for N-frame in .45 Colt and they cost me nearly $60.00 each about five years ago, as there was no one importing them at the time.

variantfit

I hope this helps.

I use the SL-Variants with my Model 28. They are now import by Bobby Mac at $35 a piece.

Nice, I like the sound of those Variant speed loaders. Going to look in to them a bit more. Thanks guys!

I have speedloaders for faster reloading during bump in the night duties. I don't carry the Highway Patrolman or anything. Shoot it for fun and keep it in the sock drawer for backup to the shotgun. Like to have a reload or two available for it.

Does anyone have a Safariland speedloader for a 44? I'm wondering if it could work with a 41 Mag. I could send some brass or dummy rounds for a test. I expect he 38 cal versions could be opened up but is there enough material there?
Have brass - will send.
