Default CUSTOM GRIPS

I am looking for grips for two revolvers:
M28 (N frame)
Colt Python
I want Ivory but can't afford them.
I do like Corian and Micarta--I particularly would like them in the old ivory (yellow or desert tan) and in target sized grips.
I have talked to two CUSTOM? makers. Collins and another and they will not make them custom if they do not have them in stock.
Do any have a suggestion.
Blessings

Altamont makes Bonded Ivory grips for either one:

Colt:
Altamont - Pistol Grips - Colt Python

S&W N frame sq butt:
Altamont - Pistol Grips

They often don't have some options listed so it's worth it to give them a call and see if they can make them in a model you want even if you don't see them as available.

This is one of theirs on a K frame:

Ferrelmerril
I have looked into Boone.
Maybe you can answer a question that bugs me.
The Python frames are known to be inconsistant because of the handmade quality of the gun.
Did you have to do any adjusting to the grips after you got them.

Grashorns....if you can't afford the pachyderms, I don't think you can get any better.

"No bark" elk stag grips from Grashorn Gunworks, alot less the cost than real ivory and they look and feel great. Here they are on a N-frame Model 27-2.

No, mine fit the python fine. One strange thing though, the owner of the company wasnt aware that his python grips would also fit the offfical police, old model trooper and officers model match untill I told him. I DID NOT buy the s&w grips shown from him but at a gun show years ago. I included that gun as the grips look identical to his.

I am giving up.
I have TALKED to 7 custom makers and no will do the python grips for various reasons.
Two of the others that are labeld as custom makers will only sell from stock and won't guarentee the fit on the Python because of vairable in the frames from gun to gun.
I am not going to put wood on it. The grips, according to Colt, are factory.
I just don't want stag grips that need a Tyler T or other simular product on them.
I give up.
Blessings

williamlayton. No need to give up! I just bought those python grips I showed a little less than 6 months ago from the source I posted. I also have the gold colt emblem in them that the python uses. Total cost was about $85 or $90s. They are nice!

I'd think you would find some at a Houston gun show.
