jever see one of these?
This was given to me by a very old neighbor lady back around 1978. She had lived in a C.C.C. camp and saved some of these crates. I used it for a wire box when I played in the bar bands , my Son used it for a toy box, and for the last few years it collected books. Doing some cleaning and thought I'd take a pic or two and see if any of you folks ever saw one like that.
Have a good one,
gordon

With nothing to judge scale by it's hard to tell how large it is, but my first bet is a Tea Crate too. Should have originally been lined with heavy Aluminum, or possibly even real Tin foil to protect from moisture.
Back in the 50s we had several, 3 or 4, that I know were Tea Crates. Dimensions were something like 20x20x30 or so. It has been a long time since I saw them!

Yeah my dad was in the CCC and he had one of those many years ago. I don't know what happened to it, probably got thrown out during one of our Army moves.

If you have Netflix there's a documentary on the CCC. Pretty interesting. You'll notice the lack of fat guys in the corps.
