Question Do you use the Aimpoint CompM4?

I'm liking these. A friend has a few...high and low mount battery. Lever mount and twist knob. I think I like the high battery and the twist knob. What is your choice and why. My reasons for my choice are A....high battery is easier to get your hands on, and B....the twist knob mount can be reversed to the other side of the optic. They are around $675.00!! Thanks for your replies.

I still run comp M2s on my ARs
Cheaper, NV compatible, and pretty much the same features as the M4.

I also run the Comp M2 to add to what gunslinger said the M2's are also lighter and cheaper then the M4's.

That being said if I ever did buy an M4 it would have the high battery mount. It does appear to be easier to access the higher M4 control but in using the M2 I have absolutely no problem accessing it's control. So for me it would be a purely aesthetics based choice.

Well, I fell into a deal on a Comp M4 from a local G.I. It was his personal unit and he will be retiring soon and sold it to me after we had some great conversation. Turns out he was looking for an item I was looking to get out of. We did a cash/item for item swap and were both happy. Amazing how things can work at the right time. It served him well and will now serve my purposes. It mounted right up to my Bushmaster and was easy to sight-in as it is a co-witness affair with the sights on the gun. Life is still good.....two days in a row on the range with friends!! Blessings
