What an unruly group, and we still have 7 days before the first puck hits the ice.
I'm not a ref, just a snitch, the Gorilla comes in for the game misconducts.
GO BEARS I mean BRUINS, you guys are confusing me already.

labworm,
Any news in the local press about Boychuck? It sure looked like his leg broke. You could see it bend in the replay. It dosn't look like Rask will be back for a while either.

Nothing as of now being said, just saying he has a knee injury.
The next game with Otawa, Chara, Thomas, Bergeron and Boychuck will not make the trip, the coach is resting them.

Sounds like a good plan. I hope they play the guy that will be backing Thomas. I would like to see what he can do before the playoffs start. I think Turco played his last NHL game last night. He really didn't look too bad but he is not consistant. I really wanted to see the Bruins beat the Penguins and the Flyers beat the rangers. Not that it really matters.

A hockey coach walked into the locker room before a big game, looked over to his star player and said, "I'm not supposed to let you play since you failed math, but we really need you in there. So, what I have to do is ask you a math question, and if you get it right, you can play." The player agreed, so the coach looked into his eyes intently and asked "Okay, now concentrate hard and tell me the answer to this: What is two plus two?" The player thought for a moment and then answered, "4?" "Did you say 4?!" the coach exclaimed. Suddenly, all the other players on the team began screaming, "Come on coach, give him another chance!"

You never know what will crawl in if you leave the back door open.
Hello Strato, think this could be the year the Wings survive the first round. Who is Vic West picking this year?
I just don't get the hockey joke, will have to read it a few more times. Likes, these are Ice Likes, frozen and can be used later if some one tries to grab the crown.
Some Ranger fans proudly showing their logo, sad to think they may eventually have to face the Big Bad Bruins, and we all know from history past how that has worked out.
Countdown 7 more days and we roll.

Don't tell me I'm the only Flyers fan here. It's OK, I have learned to accept the fact that my wife is a Devils fan, so I can tolerate fellow shooters and gun enthusiasts who also support second rate hockey teams.
I'm really looking forward to the Flyers / Pens series. The last few meetings have really spiced up the regular season. I will admit, the Pens have some serious offensive talent, but we'll just pull out the old Kate Smith "God Bless America" tapes and kick some Pittsburgh butt.

Lets face it, we all have to be something.
All of us are waiting for that series to start, think good old fashion blood bath.
Kate really helped popularize hockey in the 70's, Is her statue still there?

The Flyers have always been a great rivelry for the Bruins. Those of us that are old enough remember the hard hitting games in the 70's. I can just see the blood streaming down the players faces. Those were the days. Good thing we didn't have HD TV back then.

Only Jesus saves more than Bernie!
Watching the Flyers on channel 48 UHF and trying to keep the foil in the right place. I sure got happy when Prizm (cable sports) bought the broadcasting rights.
One of the last games I attended at the Spectrum was Flyers v Pens. By the start of the third neither team had two full lines on the bench. Too many Match penalties and game misconducts.

I remember some of those games where there were not enough playes to put three lines together. Nothing like a good hockey rivelry.

i just got switched to night shift so along with my internal clock being messed up for a bit and taking college classes, i doubt i will get to do anything but live vicariously through other hockey fans.
im a penguin fan solid, and ive always had a soft spot for the sabres because, well buffalo has had it rough for a long time. detroit is a solid team and i can pull for them unless it messes with the pens possition. now, being from Cleveland you can see why i had an affinity with the closest teams. however, the bluejackets are now in columbus, but i no longer live in ohio.

Eagles v Golden Goffers, if the BC goalie had not been a brick wall...
And as another diversion, on this end, Rolonson has as much trouble from Da Boltz as from the Toronto Makebelieves.
Painful just >:-(

And as another diversion, on this end, Rolonson has as much trouble from Da Boltz as from the Toronto Makebelieves.

Mike, you are a man of constant sorrow. Hey it's 10 PM thought you would be out playing shuffle board.

Any comments from the peanut gallery, not sure, but I think this guy may be a Rangers fan.

Hey, that was a pretty good Bruins game considering it didn't matter. The goalie sured played well. Looks like a keeper to me. We'll probably have Washington in the first round. I would rather have played the Sens.

I sure wish the Flyers would stop giving their opponents a one or two goal lead. They did it again tonight against Buffalo. Fortunately they put up two of their own. The Matt Read game winner was awesome.

Let's hope it stands. You Rangers fans can have the Caps. I know the Rangers can pretty much run the series but the Caps can bring a really physical game. Whoever plays them in the first round will have a couple of bruises.
