Hatcher's Book of the Garand - Warning Order
I know this isn't a Smith & Wesson, BUT:
Hatcher's Book of the Garand has been selling from $100-300 used, depending on condition.
It's being reprinted, to hit the stores (Amazon) April 16, for $24.95.
Amazon is taking pre-orders.

Gen Hatcher is my favorite gun author, though a bit technical in some aspects.
If you know Gen Hatcher at all, or like Garands this is a no brainer. If you are interested in guns and balistics then you already have "Hatcher's Notebook".
With the addition of this book, the only one I don't have is "Pistols and Revolvers and Their Use" 1927.
His other books are:
Machine Guns 1917 (I used this for teaching MG schools for the NG)
Texbook of Pistols and Revolvers
Hatchers Notebook
Firearms Investigation, Identification and Evidence (This was my go-to book in my LE CSI days)

His book on the Garand is essential. Especially when I disassemble and reassemble the rear sights...
Might have to get the new one as the original book is really showing it's age.
Like some other things.

My wife (Wonderful Woman!!!) just informed me that she has ordered this book for me. I am thrilled. My little accumulation of M-1 Garand's mean a great deal to me.

I placed an order back in April, but apparently there were fulfillment problems; Amazon kept asking me to restate my interest in the book and renewing my order.
But all things come to those who wait. UPS just dropped off my copy, so apparently they are now available. I know what I'll be reading tonight!

I received my "we finally shipped it" notice Sunday, and it is supposed to be here Thursday. Mail. If they'd UPSed it it'd have been here already, I reckon.
But based on your post I just went outside to look.
Dangit. You got me all excited for nothin'.
