You know you're honest but they have no way of knowing whether or not you'll do what you say you'll do. Not everyone would be as honest as you are and there's no reason they should be obligated to risk financial exposure as a general practice to find out. Excellent way to lose money.
It's the same buying and selling on the forum. It's not a sale until you have the money. The only difference is how long the seller is willing to wait for the buyer to make good.
What am I missing?

Point is that they agreed to sell you an item for a certain price. They should at least give you reasonable time to submit the payment before selling it out from under you.

I guess that's my point. What's reasonable to the buyer may not be to the seller. I had a guy jerk me around buying a P7M8. I waited over 10 days, communicated with him twice during that time and got no response. I had given a deadline and when it passed with no action, I sold to the number two buyer. Maybe B's could benefit from something like that practice but I don't think they're obligated to. It's their merchandise on their credit.
Buyer's are free to look elsewhere (and pay more) if they don't approve. The electronic check thing is really easy and a little shopping will find you a bank or credit that does not charge for checking. So, the way I see it, it, sealing the deal immediately is simple.
My own policy is to use my favorite GS giving them about $50 leeway on a new firearm

Buds will do OK without my business. Won't pay money to be a customer of anyone.

Didn't know that about Paypal, that bites big time. As for Buds, about a year ago I bought my wife and daughter each a lil pocket-pistol. Neither could rack the slide. I called, talked to- can;t remember his name- but he agreed to let me ship the two back, and only charged me 10 bucks each to trade for two different pistols. Still didn't charge me for shipping the 2nd pair to us. Knowing the previous guns were now "Used", he coulda taken me for a ton. Things may well have changed, but that one transaction won't be forgotten. But I'll remember that can't hold a gun thing- I have only bought new ones, and there was no issue with availability.

They way undervalue your trade also. They had a Dan Wesson @ the Tn store that someone had screwed-up the slide flats with a dremel tool looked awful, could be flat sanded out had 499.00 on it, 1911. T tried to trade a week old Gen 4 Glock 22 with 4 mags, offered me 350.00, I said loud as I could tell the trade guy to kiss my ***. I know the Dan was a high dollar gun, b4 Guber got hold of it. I would have never traded that gun looking that bad, I wouldn't want people to know I was that STUPID!

You dug up a 5 year old thread to tell us you don't know how gun trade ins work?
No one (really) gripes about what car dealers offer for trades, because they understand the dealer has to make money on the used car.

Buds has low prices, price matching and free shipping.
Is their service the best and fastest? No.
If enough people don't like what they offer and refuse to use them, they will either change the way they operate or go out of business.
It's a buyers market always, no matter what someone tells you.

That may well be but why would i wait a day or two or 7 waiting for a price match when i can purchase from the lowest offer seller now where is the advantage in that...hey if you like them deal with them..no problem here with that..
