Default S.D.MYRES HELP PLEASE

I have this "shoulder" holster marked "S.D. MYRES EL PASO,TEX" in a rectangular box with a long DASH DOT DASH between the two rows of letters. The holster has a built-in spring and one strap with a leather thong at the bottom. The revolver in it now is a 3" Model 64 and a 4" fits also. Was this meant as a single-shoulder rig or as an across-the-chest rig? Any idea what it's called and how old it is?
