Road trip from Texas to Colorado
Taking a motorcycle trip over the next week from Dallas to Denver for a conference...any dealers/shops/shows, etc., that anyone thinks might be a good place to stop and check out some older SW stuff in Amarillo or Denver (my two way points).
I like pre-1980 SW revolvers and, for lack of a better description, odd-ball pieces in exc+ condition.

The Panhandle Plains Museum in Canyon (18 miles south of Amarillo) has an excellent collection of guns to view. More Colt than Smith and Wesson, but still worth the side trip. Lots of old west history there.

They had 3 to 4 feet of hail last week between Amarillo and Dumas. Have fun and be careful out there.

If you are headed up I-25 there is a nice little shop in Pueblo, CO. RJC LLC, 114 West 12th St, Pueblo, CO. (13th St W exit is very convenient.) They usually have a nice selection of classic guns, including several S&W wheelies. I picked up this M-10-5 earlier this month, nothing special but a solid shooter in very decent shape, $365 OTD. Last year I picked up a Marlin M-39 Carbine (had never seen one before) for a very nice price. They are nice folks. They also sell RC airplane kits/equipment and have several really nice RC models on display. Enjoy your trip.........ride safe.
