Does anyone own a Lamat?
Yep, I was watching Pawn Stars and saw it. Wild to say the least... and pricey too. 42 or .36 caliber revolver on top and a 20 gauge shotgun below.

A nice piece of history there I didn't know about.
Cool, But 3lbs 8oz's. I guess you need the weight when you let loose with the shot barrel.
Kaboom!

I saw that episode. Shooting the 20 ga must have been painful...instant onset of carpal tunnel problems.

J.E.B. Stuart supposedly had a LeMat. Don't know if he shot any Yankees with it.

Jefferson davis had a 10 shot revolver when he was "caught" at the end of the Civil War. the maker wasn't listed but there aren't many 10 shooters.

Because it is a desireleble revolver the price for a good antique example is very high. There for there are more fake's around than originals.
I do have a Pietta made one. That is the one I could afford.
I am not impressed of the quality. The cilinder walls between the chambers are very thin. The trigger pull is if you have to move a refirigarator with one finger. It isn't possible to shoot shot on our range. So I have never fired the 20 gauge barrel.

An old TV series...........
used a LeMat as their co star. Late in 1950s the show's,main character, Johnny Ringo, carried one of these unique revolvers.
Seemed like every week he would be in a gun fight and after he had fired 6 times the bad guy would jump up and say, "I've got you now!", of course the extra rounds of the LeMat always saved the day.

I would imagine if you were around when people started using those, and survived the ordeal, there were plenty of jaws dropping to the floor! At the time there wasn't anything quite like them. Wild looking even with todays Tactical Techie look.
Thanks for the picture Thuer.

I also have a Pietta replica. I've never fired it. It is heavy but points well. A Walker Colt is at least as heavy and much more awkward.
