Default Honest Honey, It Just Followed Me Home

I stopped by one of my LGS today to ask a question. While we were standing there talking, the owner said, "Oh by the way, come back here and let me show you something." He walked to the other end of the counter, reached up on the wall and pulled down a Stevens Model 22-410 with the Tenite stock and forend in about 95% condition. Now you have to understand that growing up, I spent a lot of time during the summer with my cousin at my aunt and uncles farm. All the guns sat by the back door and when you walked out going anywhere except right around the house, you picked up a gun to take with you. The one that I picked up the most often would be my aunt's 22-410 so when he handed me that one today, it brought back a lot of great childhood memories. Yep, it followed me home but I was talking to my cousin on the phone and he's already trying to buy it from me since it's like the one his mother had.

One thing I understand is if the gun says Stevens along with Model 22-410 on it, it was made between 1939 and 1950. If it says Savage on it along with Model 24, it was made after 1950. Anybody know any more about those dates of manufacture?
