Default Anybody have one of these...?

Helping the sister of a friend dispose of some firearms after her divorce. Nothing much special or notable except this little guy.

Never seen one in person before, but it's a neat little package and in not bad condition (just needs a good clean and lube).

Savage M1907 in 32 Auto (some were .38 Auto). This one's from 1917 according to the s/n.

I think it's staying with me

Generally $250-400 range. And the calibers were .32 ACP and .380 ACP, not .38 Auto, which is a completely different cartridge except for bullet diameter.

I have 2, one about the condition this one appears to be, the second NIB condition but no box. Had a 3rd, French Army contract gun with the lanyard loop. No idea why I sold that one!

A friend of mine had one for years but it would not fire even hardball .32 reliably so I passed on it when he wanted to sell, someday I will get one because they are pretty cool I think.

This was my father in law's nightstand gun.
Fun to shoot & a good way to show off my nice
Audley holster.
Regards,

My wife collects Savage and Stevens. Her dad worked at Savage Arms for 43 years. She has about 10 of these autos, including three NIB.
She has an extensive collection of paper from both companies. Stevens actually started out making machinest tools back in the 1860's they stated making pistols. It's great having a wife that collects firearms, we don't argue about going to shows, we argue about which one we are going to.

There's a good article about these guns in the 1981 Gun Digest if your library has a copy.

I had one, but traded it off. I really liked it, though.

The old ads used to proclaims its virtues with the hook: Ten shots quick!

I think they even used Buffalo Bill or another old timer as an endorsement.

I have 3 Model 1907's, one Model 1917, and one Model 1915, all at about 90% or better. Wonderful little guns.
